I only have 54 points... so, a starting bid of 160 is too high for me. The most I've ever paid for an adopt or a design was.. around 60 points, I think.
I really like the design, though. I think I'd make it a girl, just because I have very few female characters... but, I don't have the points so, it doesn't matter that much.

60 points equates to 60 cents. The starting bid is under $2. If you can't afford it- just don't say anything. Your comment says you wouldn't pay more than $2 for the artist's hard work, and it's just insulting. Educate yourself. You have to know art takes effort and hours of work- it doesn't just appear.

I am aware of this. I was not stating that I would not pay this much, but that I could not. I don't have the money at the moment. I know it takes time and effort to make such things, as I am an amature artist myself, and have made a few designs. None of which have sold, even when I offered it for only 10 points.
I don't think it's an insult to tell an artist I like their work, or that I am sorry that I do not have the money to buy it. Personally, If someone said that to me, I'd take it as a compliment.

You're essentially saying, "Oh I wish I could buy this but the price is too high."

No, What I'm saying is that if I had the money, I would buy it, but I'm broke. It's a compliment to them, saying that it is good artwork worth the price, and lamenting the fact that I, as an individual, cannot afford it.
