For my 100th artwork here on DeviantArt (not counting a bad version of a logo I made for a fanfic), I wanna take you back to the past with my latest art piece. It's a recent drawing of a childhood ideal show I had when I was a kid. Back in 2004 when both Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Danny Phantom were released, I had an idea for a Spider-Man cartoon show in the style of the Fairly Odd Parents and (more importantly) Danny Phantom. It was meant to be another adaptation of the Spider-Man books as well as paying homage to both the 1994 show and the (at the time) Raimi Duology. I thought up an idea of what Spider-Man would look like in the art style of Danny Phantom, which was designed by Stephen Silver (and yes, I'm now crediting him as an inspiration of this art piece instead of the infamous Butch Hartman. If only younger me would credit Stephen instead of Butch. I could've learn of Stephen's existence). As for Peter Parker, well... Back then I used to recolor Danny Fenton in my childhood drawings and make it my ideal design for Peter. I mean it was semi-poetic. Danny Phantom is heavily inspired by Spider-Man and now the inspiration is drawn in the style of that show. But I could've designed Peter better. I would've taken inspiration from how John Romita draws Peter or (better yet) how Mark Bagley draws Peter from the Ultimate books since my ideal cartoon was meant to be an adaptation of both Earth-616 and the Ultimate Earth-1610 books. Don't worry about Peter. He may be a recolor in my younger self as well as my pic, but at least I didn't take an existing Danny Fenton PNG and just recolor him. Plus, like Spidey, Peter's drawn by free hand by sketching as well as me digitally coloring them in the recent pic you're all seeing.

As for Spider-Man, I've taken cues from a scene from the Fairly Odd Parents' special "Abra-Catastrophe" where there's a brief Spider-Man parody segment in which Timmy's dressed as "the Amazingly Unsue-able Arachnid Kid." Anyone remember that? Hope ya do. My Spidey design is basically the Classic Spidey suit with the physique of Danny Phantom. Even the mask from Arachnid-Kid has somewhat of a John Romita influence to it. Anyways, I hope you like my 100th artwork, true believers. I would love to possibly thought up an idea for better hair styles for DP style Peter.
