First off, thank you so very much for creating this. I love so much about it - the cats hinting at her tumblr, the crowns, what you made of the O in Power, her wings.
I want this on a shirt, with your permission - just for myself, I don't plan on selling or mass producing or anything. Would you be down with that? I'd be honored to wear this.

hmmm, i appreciate that but i dont think its the best idea. it might create some chain reaction of people making shirts and, were it not a leelah tribute i think id want to be paid for something like that. since yknow, its nice to be credited for something you made. and i dont wanna sell leelah, really. (not to mention i probably wouldnt be comfortable with 3rd party companies profiting off of my own work, haha. if you would have used some online printing site to make it, i mean.) even if its for personal use, i dont think people should make products of leelah. but theres a lot of general trans positive shirts you could get though! aah, but sorry. thank you though!!Β

Thank you for your quick response! Aw, well, I see your point kind of... I highly doubt more people would get such shirts then because of me, I barely see any trans* activism around me, sadly (it's one of the reasons I think it's so damn important! ). Also, I would absolutely pay you! (; And I have a friend who works in a tee shirt store, who offered doing this for me for free (I didn't ask! she's just amazing like this
). She would also use an ethical shirt (no sweatshops or child labor, mostly. environmental sustainability through organic cotton or the like would be a plus!) since it's important to me (ethical vegan, ya know
).
Oh, wow, products of Leelah... I didn't mean that. I hope you know this :c
I just... it's such a gorgeous thing and I had in mind that wearing this, I'd always remember her. And I'd remind others as well, or create more awareness by having people ask me about it... but it's okay, it's your decision after all, and I respect that.
Much love! <33

This is a beautiful tribute to Leelah. I'm with an anti-bullying organization called the You Will Rise Project. We're based in Ohio where Leelah was from. We are creating a tribute video for her made up of artwork created in her honor and I would love to include this with your permission. The video will be shared at an event on January 17th and then posted to our YouTube channel the following day, where we will give credit to everyone who contributed. If you're interested, please email the image to youwillriseproject@gmail.com. Use subject line: "Leelah Tribute" and be sure to include in the message how you would like to be credited in the YouTube listing. Thank you.

This is a bit of a stretch, but do you have a version of this with separate layers or without text? It'd be nice to see it translated into different languages and/or to be made available as a tattoo template for those interested.

Quite alright. I suspect it shouldn't be too difficult to follow the lines that are already there for those who are artistically inclined. I figured it was worth asking in the event that you still had the original layered file available.
Above all, thank you for this. <3

I wish it could have gotten better for you, Leelah. It's a horrible pity you had to die at seventeen, forever just a little girl.
She had the right to grow up, have a childhood, a girlhood, a life.Β

When I saw her picture, I said something I'm sure every transexual girl wants to hear, without any hesitation.
"What a beautiful girl."
I hope you have the body you want now, Leelah..Β
