Asgore isn't a final boss in any route from what i remember. In genocide you one-shot him so the real final boss is Sans.

He's a 'boss monster' and you fight him in the neutral pacifist route. I mostly say Boss because he along with Flowey are the only two monster's that you actually have to fight.
