-- Gamzee is 24 years old, and makes his living busking in the streets. He rooms with Tavros Nitram in a 'quaint' apartment a little ways downtown from where Sollux and Karkat live. Gamzee has never really done much with his life, he strongly believes that life is short so live it the motherfuck up. He managed to cruise through high school with C's and B's, surprisingly enough, although he did spent a shitton of time cutting class to get high behind the gym. He still lights up pretty much every day, because why the fuck not?
He did come from a broken home, his mother died when he was young and his father was almost always out, doing god knows what. He did know that they had to move a lot, though, so he had never had a real stable environment. When his father WAS around, though, he was good to Gamzee. He really seemed like he was trying to make things good for his son, and Gamzee tries not to think about what sort of shit he must've had to do to keep them off the streets.
