Description
A commission drawing completed for a young amateur boxer. From what I've heard he has a great raw natural talent...hopefully one day I'll get a chance to see him fight. To my client, thank you for the wonderful opportunity
Drawing completed on 11x14, 3 ply, plate finish Bristol board. The background and ring have been rendered using a combination of vine, pressed and pencil charcoal. The boxer himself was rendered using carbon except his shorts and gloves. For his shorts I used graphite and for the gloves I used an oil based black pencil.

Thank you for the great comment. I worked on the eyes and the faded surrounding a lot to try and capture the emotion in the piece. You're in the ring alone, with only the skills you brought with you.
