Whenever I see that jacket, I can't help but see the stripe on the shoulder and be reminded of US Army or Marine Corps enlisted rank insignia, since it looks so much like the chevrons of a Private, Corporal, or Sergeant.

This reminds me of Family Guy's Something Something Something Dark Side where Brian (Chewbacca) sits in the cockpit next to Black Mort (Lando). And Chewie squints at Lando and says:
