Very nice use of light and texture. The rustic use of colour in the tent and caravan conveys a distinctly rummaged, worn feel to the atmosphere; the dirty and rather grey tones of the structure work very nicely with the similarly done background, and together an extremely convincing natural atmosphere, almost photograph-like, is conveyed; there are very few vibrant colours of which only come from the artificial backpacks and such.
The light streaming from the canopy works very well to highlight and bathe the site in an illuminating way, bringing out the form of the tent and state of the vehicle very nicely. Not only this, but the way that the light shines from above implies a feeling of safety and sanction within the darkness, particularly underneath the tent, as if shielding the figures from the sun.
The background works very nicely to further set the scene and atmosphere; the relatively dense, unkempt and rather grey forest surrounding the site does a great job to give the distinct impression of camping and isolation, especially with the composition of the nearby trees obscuring the audience's vision of the scene. The vague background and rising fog only adds to this wild setting.
Awesome use of hitting that atmosphere right on the spot with the colours, rich textures and foreground, awesome work!
