Horror, panic, fear… a missing sock. You tear through various articles of polyester, satin, linen, and wool, but the sock is not to be found. Uncertainty takes its hold, and you begin to question the sock’s absence. Where could it have gone?

“Did I unwittingly purchase a one-legged-man sock? That would explain there being only one… Could I have accidentally sacrificed the sock to the Dryer God… but that is unlikely.”

You question yourself.

“Is it possible that, like Narnia, my home is host to a secret portal, but unlike Narnia, this doorway lies in my dryer? And is it probable that fat little goat men came through that portal and seized my sock, using it to defend their land from assorted white hags that kidnapped Willy Wonka’s Oompa Loompas?”

Confusion and possibilities swarm your mind, and you share the universal loss of a sock.

Eventually, you submit to you failure, and limp away defeated. But before you curse and loathe whatever creature took your sock, just remember… Narakyan loves his clean socks.
