Description

An easy and simple guide to the difference between taking a class or independent learning for magic!

TakingΒ a Class

  • A fast method of Learning that only takes 4 weeks!

  • Must draw 4 "Polished Pieces". What's a Polished Pieces?

  • Has deadlines and limited signup opportunities!

  • Unlocks all magic related upgrades. (Depending on the ability you learn)

  • Awards you a Graduation Certificate!

  • Prompts and guidelines are provided for you!

Independent Learning

  • A slower method of learning that takes longer than a month!

  • Has no deadlines or set prompts!

  • Must draw 8 "Polished Pieces". What's a Polished Pieces? (Requires twice as much art than Classes!)

  • Does not unlock "class" related magic upgrades.

  • Does not get awarded a Graduation Certificate.

  • Must come up with your own prompts & ideas!

Well, this is great and super-useful as I definitely want my wyngrew to learn magic, but not sure magic tickets are likely...

Nonetheless, I have one question: independent magic learning unlocks only "some" upgrades it says.Β  Uh, I was wondering if I could get some clarification on that please?
Which upgrade types are unlocked and which types aren't?
How do I tell the difference or will there be info under the upgrade that says you must have earned a certificate to apply???Β

The upgrades usually dictate this by saying "know ___ magic", and others say "pass ___ magic class". If the upgrade includes the implication you need to finish a class, it requires it, e.g. the pure claws say you need to PASS A CLASS. But for antenna you just need to KNOW some magic.

Just curious, can wyngro learn intermediate independent magic?

( Not a mod btw )
Oh boy um this is kinda late... sorry...
And yes! If your wyngro masters basic magic then they can learn intermediate magic.

most times yes, but there are 5-ish "free slots" for each class, but these get snached up in seconds

Are independent magic prompts that were made before this was postedΒ still need backgrounds? '>o>

independant magic has always required a "finished look" which
does include a background, yes

Under "Prompts" for "Classes", "will" is spelled as "wil". Just wanted to point that out!
