* Note: This is a map created from the Inheritance Cycle, more commonly known as just Eragon. I took a rectangle of canvas and, with a pen, sketched a copy of the Alagaesia map. After that I added more detail with the pen, then I took an artists pen to write the titles. As you can see the titles are a lot darker.

After a while of waiting I took acrylic paints and treated them like water colors, painting over the canvas. It took a lot of time and a very small brush but the colors are how I think they would be. I also used a sort of acrylic that "shimmers" in the light on some areas of the map. There is gold, silver and copper. I will list the areas where I layered these colors lightly [or heavily]:
*Saphira, who is flying near Vroengard, has a light silver shimmer
* Shruikan [Near Urabaen]: Lightly silver
* All bodies of water: Lightly silver
* Boar's Eye [Near Nia]: Silver
* Surda: Gold
* Most of the ground: Extremly light copper
* Around Ellesméra: Gold
* Farthen Dur: Silver
* Hadarac Desert: Heavily layered with gold
* The name "Alagaesia" is traced with gold

Basically, if in the sunlight, the majority of this map will give a shimmer-like apperance. This map will be framed between two panes of glass. I do not know what I will do with it yet, so far it's just been sitting around.
I think this picture gives the actual map no justice. It looks a whole lot better in real life, especially in the light! If you have any questions please comment below! I would love to answer them.

After this map I will DEFINITELY be doing more maps, from fantasy books or actual places. It does not matter. I enjoyed this little project. If you want to suggest a map then please comment below!
