done with 2hb lead pencil, foohy! brand colored pencils, on black crayola crayon, and one black ballpoint pen.

freshwater mamadjo (black carribean mermaid) gets lost at sea and ends up beached. Gullah ( south Carolina sea island) necklace around waist, tatt is adinkra symbol for β€œgod is in the heavens”

This is gorgeous! I love the way she's looking right at the viewer. Very captivating. Also, the world needs more black mermaids. Keep drawing them (if you've got the inspiration), because you're good at it!
