It looks like everybody likes the color and light--you know what I like (aside from the color and light)? I like the lines. The gentle sweep of stem, the two halves of the flower like a butterfly just opening it's wings to fly, the scoop of the petals like it's trying to catch something--it feels like it just stopped moving, and it might start moving again if you watch.
So I wax poetic. Runner's high--I just ran my record mile.

It's amazing where some things can grow, I am always amazed when we get poppies and other wild flowers growing from cracks in our old walls. Well, it makes the wall look more interesting!!
