The bright light was overwhelming. Shalou blinked desperately, terrified of the blindness that was sure to come .

But after all, wasn't he dead? In the light, visions of the fall flashed before him; Memories of his son, his kin, his homeland - Lazy flights at dusk and casual walks at dawn, Fleeing from Lycanthragons in the dead of night and living to tell the tale. And Adéna, who, to his suprise, stood right infront of him.

He gasped as her face slowly lengthened and two huge ears sprouted from her head. He couldn't take this. He slammed shut his eyes as all his emotions numbed.

"I've been expecting you, for far too long"

Shalou opened his eyes, and before him stood the mighty one. Atolias, the dragon god of life, and his deity. A chill ran through his body as clouds melted around him and he began to feel earth beneath his feet.

"Where am I?" He croaked

Her face remained emotionless "You are at the gateway to my realm, a step every mortal must take"

She spoke, but no movement came from anywhere in her body. It was as if she was inside his mind. He cringed in discomfort.

"What must I do to gain entry, my god?"

"Oh Shalou" Everything around him froze as she paused "Death is just the beginning. You have so much more to come..."

I have a blister on my heel and it really hurts...
