I did some foggy/forest/fantasy-like kind of photos recently. I'll have to add some on here. Not early as great as yours though. This picture gives me chills.

Cool, i discovered the magic of fog on DA.
I never made photo's before in the fog.
It surely adds a lot of mystery and magic and softness to the photo's.
If you know how to edit them, you can make yours look chilling too

This is very true. As a photographer, you're always looking for that perfect "tack sharp" shot, it's easy to forget how powerful a softer image can be.

A dense fog blurs all the details that distract from the main focus and erases the background.
Wich make trees or other objects stand out more and if you are Lucky enough to catch some sunrays too it becomes magical ^^

Exactly! I always find something looks perfectly great until I look at it through a lens. Suddenly, you can see every little thing that makes the resulting image look cluttered. Fog is great for making things look a little... Cleaner, I guess. I like taking close-ups for the same reason. I'd love to know what you think of some of my work. It's been an embarrassing amount of time since I've signed in here or added anything. Art school really interfered with posting on here or Facebook, and it took me a few years after to start trying to get back into the habit of actually posting it. But now I'm back with a vengeance, I hope.

Great! You are better off investing in a good Art-education instead of posting on here.
DA is a large community but i believe it's best times are over.
I just started experimenting with a pinhole lens. Great fun!
Looking forward to your vengeance

Thanks!
Well like I said, I actually already went to college for art (FA & D) and that was actually after I already had my Specialist High Skills Major in Art & Culture. Then I went to school for Applied Management, for the business side of things. I'm 23, so school has pretty much been over for me for a long time now. DA has never really been a business thing for realistic people, it's not really viable. It's really more for fun, and talking to other artists has a tendency to get you excited about creating, and inspiring you to work harder.

With all the creative, cultural and mangement degrees you have i'm sure you have a interesting career ahead of you.
You are right about DA being inspiring to be creative although there is a lot of non-creative stuff on here.
I will have a look at your gallery when i have some more time.
Nice to talk with you, you seem like a bright and intelligent person, and Canada is a great country

That's nice of you to say. Yes, DA can have a lot of non-creative stuff, but I don't know how much worse it really is since, say, 5 years ago. It's always had a lot of really amazing stuff and some things that are more... amateur. But we all start somewhere I guess. Half the fun can be finding the inspiring stuff. Like a treasure hunt! Yes, it's a good place to live, have you ever visited?

You have a nice way of looking at it.
I like your idea of a treasure-hunt ^^
Unfortunatly i haven't had the change to visit Canada yet.
But i want to someday .. i lived in Australia and feel as if Canada and Australia are some of the best places in the world to live.
Lots of space and nature, a very social and non violant invironment with friendly people.

We're only friendly and non-violent until you put a hockey puck in front of one of us and a hockey stick in their hand. LOL!

Yeah, I guess it's sort of a rivalry thing or a matter of pride or something. Pretty sure we could lose against everyone else and would still be happy as long as we won against the states. Even people who don't usually follow sports tend to watch games like that.
