Description
This is part of a series I'm on doing which I explain here on the first picture of this series - [link]This is a crossover of Guardians of Ga'hoole and Okami.
This is Ruby, with the Divine Instrument Blade of Kusanagi, performing the secret brush technique Whirlwind, which is the upgrade of Galestorm.
And for those who are interested - I've come up with more ideas for this series, now instead of only 13, where will be 20 (so far). To the 13 brush techniques, I've added the 2 additional brush techniques from Okamiden, as well as brush moves that aren't techniques given by the gods, and two extras that aren't brush moves at all. I'm also using the weapons from Okamiden - but I'm having trouble finding a picture of the "Truth Mirror"? Does anyone have a picture of that weapon or know of a video I can see it in? It took me a while but I found images of the others, all except for that one. Unlike Okami, Okamiden does not have very good reference images online.
I've also never played Okamiden.

This is the day I saw a better way to give credit to other people's work!
I love how you drew the owl with the Galestorm sword!

This suits her finely. Though it irks me when people think that Primrose's picture is Ruby, sure she's ruddy color, but she's smaller and Ruby even has a picture.
I hate how they removed her from the film and turned Otulissa and Strix struma into her species...it's flat out stupid (I don't like the plot, they made it too far from the books)
I always kind of liked Ruby, she's strong but is a good owl and a strong flier and such

Thanks!
I never understood the confusion between Ruby and Primrose, honestly.
I felt very sorry for the characters that god shucked from the movie for no good reason. There was a lot of things I disagreed with from that movie - but I've learned to love it as a separate creation. I try to view it and enjoy it as it's own thing and try not to compare it to the books, because they're so different and the books make the movie pale in comparison. By it's self the movie was good but flawed, next to the books the movie was week. I still kind of wish they would make a sequel though, because they left enough parallels between the movie and books to continue the story along the same path - save for a few bandaids here and there.
I really like Ruby, and Martin is also a good character that is often forgotten about.

Agreed about the movie.
I just see as it being inspired by the books, similar to how Disney's Frozen was inspired by the story of the Snow Queen.

And in both cases, both the move and original stories are great on their own.

Honesty, my only gripe with the movie is that they made Otulissa a Short-Eared Owl.
(WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT AAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her and Strix Strauma (was that the rybs name? The spotted owl one that Otulissa loved) too. That did make me very upset.

Yes, that's her name.
That was the only major downside about the movie.

The only part I kind of liked was the colors, especially Marella's reddish shade, but I don't like how the barn owls have yellow eyes.
I think animating it is good, but yet I think it should be correct. All the barn owls have all black (or dark brown) eyes, not yellow and blue eyes.
Nyra didn't get her famed scar either...though I do like the Masked Owls in it
