here it is the story of Gaza and Jalishir

Gaza barreled up the steep slope, her strong long legs each finding their hold. Thick gusts of wind smelling of rain buffeted her partly colored mane. As she ran Gaza mulled over her weighted decision, should she go through with this? Should she really meet this wingcat, Jalishir? It would be going against the ring of law against her battle prince Korr, prince of the vale. The thought of being a ring breaker frightened her and at that moment she almost turned to flee to the safety of her grotto. Instead, however she raced on to the cliffs edge to find her emerald wingcat. Her stride shortened to a walk as she neared tree line leading out to her favorite cliff. Gaza stood stark still at the edge of the clearing leading out to the flat of the cliff, her blue green coat dappled by the shadows of the trees. Stepping clear of the protection of the trees Gaza carefully made her way to the edge and looked out over the forest. To the east the storm clouds thundered and brought the sea smelling rain, to the west the sun shone in between passing clouds, she couldn’t help but be fascinated by the flash of light and the boom of thunder on one side of her and the calm warmth of the sun beaming down on the other. Standing at the cliffs edge Gaza watched the coming storm, mixed feelings tearing through her mind.
Two nights ago she had been standing high on her favorite cliff watching the first of the spring storms roll in, flashes of lightening ripped across the sky, and a melodious voice asked her from behind how she liked the storm? Gaza wheeled nearly losing her foot hold, her eyes wide and fear griped as she searched frantically for the source of the voice. Gaza backed precariously close to the edge as the shadows parted revealing the emerald and gold of a gryphon. ‘Careful’ said the tarcel his voice ringing with concern. ‘Wha… what do you want catbird?’ Gaza hated that her voice shook with weanlings fear she should have more control after all, she had been initiated this spring past; she was a warrior of the vale unicorns, this knowledge made her bravery return though she knew it wouldn’t last. No one had seen a gryphon since the previous spring when a mated pair tried to take the prince’s life, and the presence of this young male meant the coming of more blue formals and bright green tarcels. ‘Peace half-grown!’ called the gryphon’ I am called Jalishir and I have been watching you for some-’ ‘save your words wingcat I have nothing for you!’ the young mare cut in. ‘By the law for which I am bound your presence deserves retaliation!’ thundered the painted unicorn her blue green mane whipped violently about her as the storm grew nearer. Jalishir grinned quietly at the young mare, she fascinated him her features were intense but beautiful none the less.’ In two nights time meet me here again I have not the time to explain but fail to meet me and I will find you and drag you off to do with what I please!’ the gryphon threatened. Then he lifted his massive dark emerald wings above his head just as a gust of storm wind blew by and was off the ground and flying away from the storm in a blink of an eye. Gaza stood stock still for several moments just as the first drops of rain began to fall she fell back into herself.’ What just happened?’ she asked herself aloud. Why did that gryphon what was his name jalishir? What does he want with me and why did he fly away from the Gryphon Mountains instead of towards? All these questions danced wildly in her head. The sudden drops of wet pulled her back to reality. Turning on her heels Gaza ran blindly down slope doing her best to escape the driving rain.
‘Daydreaming?’ Jalishir asked Gaza snapped back to the present and stood rigid. How long had I been daydreaming she thought to herself. ‘Don’t look so uneasy little unicorn I promise not to harm you.’ The gryphon cooed. ‘What do you want?’ the painted mare demanded through clinched teeth. ‘I honestly have not a clue but for some reason I am drawn to you.’ said the emerald gryphon distantly. He looked off over her shoulder past the cliff at the coming storm. Gaza took the moment to look in his eyes and remembered the dream vision on the moon of her initiation. In her dream she saw herself heavy with foal, then a voice she knew but couldn’t quite place had said in a knowing tone dear little Gazareil I have something special in store for you though you do not know it you play an important part in my plan. After these words her sides burst outward and out flew a gryphon. Beautiful emerald green wings stretching skyward his beautiful cat like eyes glowing a strange color almost blue but with a silver hue. The large male gryphon hovered over her fallen body a look of tenderness crossed his face then in a flash it was gone. With one strong flap of his emerald wings the tercel hefted himself higher tripling the distance between the ravaged body of the painted mare and himself. The fallen mare lay looking up after the gryphon her gaze held that of pure adoration and longing. This had frightened her, a gryphon bursting from her womb hadn’t been what had frightened her, what had was her facial expression as she gazed after him. How could she, a warrior unicorn of the vale ever look to a gryphon, her sworn enemy in such a way? ‘Little unicorn...’ the wingcat purred. Gaza snapped back to reality the young mare then turned to face the gryphon squarely ‘gryphon I do not know what your reason for this meeting but if a reason if not given then I will be forced to sound the alarm cry and do my best to hold you at bay until my fellows come and send you off this cliff to the rocks and your death below.’ ‘Very well’ the gryphon replied.’ Last spring as I lay sleeping a dream danced into my slumber, in the dream a fine painted mare the color of the summer sea frisked in the wind of a coming storm her steps held rhythm her stride pure grace, she twisted and swayed frolicked and played. Then as I came with the first of this spring’s storms I saw that same painted mare dancing on the cliffs in a rhythmic display. I couldn’t stay away I knew I had to meet her, so I flew up behind and stood in the tree line watching her for some time, and to my surprise the she is you.’ The tercel then flexed his mighty feathered wings high above his head Gaza shied backing perilously closer to the cliff behind with one miss step the painted unicorn fell backward careening off the cliffs edge, with a cry the gryphon lunged to aid her. Jalishir folded his wings trying to speed his fall, jalishir caught the sea colored mare, Gaza shrieked in pain as the gryphon lost part of his grip and used his claws to stop her from sliding from his grasp. Just at the last second jalishir loosed his folded wings caught an updraft and climbed higher soaring away from the raging storm. Gaza wailed in pain ‘let me loose wingcat!’ ‘Never unicorn even if I could I wouldn’t!’ cried the tercel. Gaza continued to whimper and moan as they flew beyond the rocky cliffs gaining air to avoid the trees and undergrowth of the forest.
The scenery changed slightly below the pair as they sailed on deeper into the pan woods, and silent as a shadow the gryphon pulled his wings close around his catch and dipped into the trees to a small clearing. Gently he sat the young mare effortlessly onto the forest floor and backed slowly away out of reach of horn and hooves. Gaza stood trembling the places where the wingcat grasped her apparent by the rips and streams of dry and drying blood. The bleeding had and the wounds themselves were superficial but the shock on the blue-green mares face appalled the gryphon more than anything he had ever known before. “Speak unicorn” the gryphon pleaded his voice wrought with agony. Her eyes huge the painted unicorn said in a voice more amazed then afraid ‘I just flew! Well we just flew!’ she then took the wingcat by surprise by bounding around the clearing whinnying excitedly. He cocked his head and watched her giddy game until she came to a stop directly in front of him. Her frame rigid she glared at the gryphon for a moment then right when he thought she was going to spear him with her spiral horn her expression softened and she dipped her head, “why did you save me?’ she asked. Jalishir paused a moment and thought, he didn’t know why he had jumped to her aid back on the cliff face, all he knew was there was something about this mare he simply adored. Gaza pawed the ground impatiently “well?’ she demanded. Jalishir narrowed his cat like eyes and evaded the question with one of his own. “Do you really think all gryphons like to kill unicorns?” She paused for a moment then replied ‘we shall see catbird, we shall see.’
