well its a graph of a math equation which is a little more complicated than a parabola.

actually parabola hyperbola elipse all these can be grouped as conics. its not a parabola on its side but its definately another conic.
you may ask it to ur math teacher and maybe she will think optimistic about you because you make a research about parabola and conics and you met with hyperbol.
PS: i found somethin in wikipedia but its in turkish. you can check what it is also in wikipedia.

Thanks for the idea, but I don't think I can do any more research on additional parabolas, although I may ask my teacher, he might think I'm optimistic about it. I have at least one project in all my courses...so I'm very busy. And I have that parabola test on Wednesday.
