Description
Necromorph (Oil paint on Canvas board 40cmx40cm / 16"x16" )My take on the Necromorph Slasher from the Dead Space franchise. Has a mix of elements from a few different variants including the regular slasher + enhanced slasher. More of the yellow veining found more commonly on Brutes + some of the other Necromorph variants. The jaws were inspired by the opening cut scene in Dead Space 2.
Happy Halloween !

THEY NEED TO GET ON DEAD SPACE 4 ALREADY!!! I haven't even heard a peep from Visceral Studios since 3 came out and that series was so much fun to play. Actually brought back the fear factor in games for me when they launched. Love the Necromorph though!! PRAISE THE ISHIMURA!! \[T]/

Cheers. Have heard various rumours concerning a possible DeadSpace 4 but Visceral are obviously working on other things right now + EA r doing their tight lipped no comment thing.

Awesome stuff! The opening jaws are really well done.
I wish they do something to revamp the franchise after that awful third game. The story had so much potential!

Cheers man, I did really enjoy detailing those jaws.
Lol, I've heard the 3rd one was balls from pretty much everyone who played it. Micro-transactions being a chief complaint along with a lack of the horror atmosphere + jump scare elements that made the 1st 2 games so good. Sounds like I didn't miss out on too much. I heard rumours of a 4th game a while back so maybe a chance for redemption ? Thanks for the comment.

IMO they should do what they did with Tomb Raider. Just start from scratch and go back to the survival/horror genre.

That probably wouldn't be a bad idea. The 1st Dead Space nailed it IMO.

Spookoriffic! His smile reminds me of old friend Patches. I like the consistency of you putting the signature somewhere in the background of your paintings, it's really neat. On this specifically the hand with bloody finger makes more impact than if there was none. If I would change something, I'd give the necromorph more consistent color because I don't remember them ever being green - but, the thing is that I can just not remember green ones - and I'd try to add more gore to the background, it looks suspiciously clean
Unfortunately I can't decipher the words on the farther wall because I haven't learned the alphabet. I was super on board with Dead Space while it was still in development but in the end 3rd game killed the hype for me, I never even finished it.

Cheers for the feedback. Yeah, the green was pretty much artistic license as far as the slasher variant goes (though I think in the 2nd game there were a few other necromorph types that had some subtle greens in the colour scheme.) Ha ha, yeah I hadn't thought about it until now, but it does look suspiciously clean....too clean, i'll wager those damn unitoligists are involved somehow ! The script simply reads "Kill x-Nodd-x" and I never really played the 3rd game either. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
