Ahh, Ser Rowan.
This character is a Hylian soldier from "The Forgotten Triforce" who is knighted by Hyrule's king in "Death by Dred and Vengeance" for his heroics in the battle between good and evil (Hyrule and Ganondorf).
Rowan can be a very comical character due to his "player" attitude, and frequent drunken episodes.
His ego is only heightened when he is knighted, and he plays up the charm around any girl he sees.
Don't let this make you shun his character, however.
Although he may seem like a total dog, he's madly in love with Hyrule's princess: Princess Zelda.
Rowan can actually be a pretty likeable character.
Despite his ego, he IS best friends with Hyrule's hero, Link, and he'll do what's right no matter what.
