Description
It's a small picture but the message comes across pretty strongly;Animals are sentient beings that deserve respect. We have no right to mutilate them, take their babies away, lock them in windowless sheds or chop them into bits for us to eat.
They have emotions and feelings just like we do, and in so many cases have demonstrated more kindness and love for their fellow species than us humans ever will do towards each other. Put us to shame, really.

Yes, of course. Because all animals in the wild treat each other with absolute respect regardless of species (species discrimination was invented by humans afterall), and they most certainly don't do such barbaric things like prey on each other, picking out the weakest members of the herd, and stabbing them in the jugulars with razor-sharp teeth and begin tearing into their flesh, indiscriminate of whether the animal is consious or not.
Oh, wait.

they eat other animals for survival, they have no other options, you have the whole grocery store xD your argument is invalid

*SHOCKING UPDATE!*
Oh, my god, they do! Those sick, selfish wolves! How DARE they murder helpless animals just for their own selfish desire of survival? HOW DARE THEY?!
Now for some reality: GROW UP. Nature isn't some fucking Disney movie where animals are kind, loving pacifists. Hell, male animals kill offspring fathered by others just to induce the female to mate again. And guess what? Most of the time SHE DOES WITHOUT MOURNING THE LOSS OF HER PREVIOUS LITTER! Animals aren't sweet, defenseless little poofballs, and they're most certainly not more compassionate than us, as proven by the amount of people posting positively to this picture (The ONLY exception being the Binobo chimps, who use sex to solve all their problems. ). They are, however, both tougher and more realistic than us.
Why do you think there's so few wildlife researchers who believe what you do about animals?

They have to do that for meat! What other choice do they have? And if you ask me they are a lot more humane than we are! Yes, life is cruel, but that doesn't mean they are heartless beasts. Ever heard of Jane Goodall? Yeah, wildlife researcher, and a huge believer in the feelings of animals. Not to mention, a vegitarian. Charles Darwin, scientist, wrote a frickin' book on how humans and animals have feelings, and a vegitarian. Two incredible and famous people of science have no doubt in their mind that animals are indeed more than machines. And animals DO indeed show signs of remorse for their children, mammals most certaintly. Elephants stroke the dead bodies of their family and young ones for hours. And when Jane was researching monkeys, one chimp lost its mother (I do believe it was his mother...) and she noticed him sitting where she died, not moving, not eating, and appearing very depressed. And if this isn't enough for you, here is a video:

I love you for what you wrote in your comment! I stopped eating meat completely when I was 9, and before that I wasn't a real fan either. Too bad that people don't realise what they do to poor things only in order for them to eat

I was never very fond of meat, so it wasn't hard to stop eating it. And since my mum's like me, I didn't have problems convincing her that "I do not have to eat meat to be healthy"

Thank you very much!! I love to hear from other vegetarians.
There are a few of us but numbers are growing. If people saw inside the slaughterhouse and factory farm walls, I know 98% would be veggie. Thus I'm gonna keep spreading the message!

I agree but the biggest problem is that most of them will refuse to even look because they are constantly rejecting reality because they are so comforitable with there matrix like existance. And that doesn't just apply to slaughter houses (government, media, etc)

thanks, I didn't realise I'd got it until I got home, although it makes me sadder to see it for some reason - I just wonder where the cows in all my pictures go. They're not pets, after all! I just can't imagine anyone shipping them off to die... thats just too sick

I think cows are quite hard to capture in unique poses cause when they're in the field most of them only want to graze or lay down!
I think borders look nice as they help to collect together what you have at the same time as making the photo/art look finished and complete.

that's very true, you don't see a cow beating up another cow for calling him a moo-ing moo-er or the fact that he moo-ed at his cow girlfriend!
