Wow...just wows.I watched the recent episodes of the XY anime involving Korrina's Lucario learning how to Mega evolve and I was blown away for some reason. It was such a refreshing change from the usual structures of the anime where there is a problem and despite all odds it is always resolved by the end of 20 minutes and team rocket get their arses kicked at the end. Korrina and Lucario have about a four episode spread of her learning to master mega evolution. For some reason I thought it was a great twist to see the process of it and the idea that not all Pokemon can control themselves under it. It was kinda creepy, but I loved it every time her Lucario went totally psycho!
I'd recently been using my Mega Lucario in the battle Maison a great deal so I feel that overall my love for this Pokemon has been rekindled. I adored Lucario when it first came out but it sort of fell back after a while. I was never mad on the mega, but now I really really love it. It's up there with my faves now that I have a bit more context and perspective on it. Pokemon has taken a great leap up in quality I think, in both the games, the soundtracks and the anime too. Good job Nintendo <3Β

I saw the episode, too, and it made me think about my Blaziken and whenever I had him Mega-Evolve. Was he just barely keeping control as I shouted my commands? Is he ever tired of Mega Evolution? Did it give him a rush of adrenaline to Mega Evolve?

Yes! It made me think of my Mega Lucario that I'd been recently using, what with the aura stuff it makes so much sense! I'm glad it wasn't just glossed over <3 It is interesting concept-wise, it sounds silly but it made me feel a little bad for using my Lucario sometimes xDD I'm thinking of drawing my Mega Lucario to follow on from this picture, because yay :3
It'd be cool to see a Mega Blaziken going crazy too, maybe you should draw it!

I laughed so hard when I saw the episodes of Loco-Lucario. He's so abusive when he battles it's funny. Just the fact that he can't control himself during Mega Evolution is the coolest.
But I completely agree with you. PokΓ©mon is by far at it's best.

Ironically he was never close to being my favorite mega, I loved Absol, Garchomp, Gengar and many of the others that I used competitively early on. But the episode really warped my opinion. I'm so glad Pokemon has improved because the last generation really lost my interest and made me feel like I was going to abandon the franchise, it all seemed to be going down the pan in my opinion. I felt like they were flogging a dead horse!Β
But it's all been reeled back in now I think

Lucario has been my favorite PokΓ©mon since I used him for the first time in Brawl. He was the one responsible for reviving my faith in the PokΓ©mon series. When I heard of PokΓ©mon XY Mega Evolutions and I saw Lucario I just about cried. I strongly believed then, that they had 'killed' Lucario and was completely against ever using his Mega Evolution. Then somehow my mindset got switched and I adored Mega Lucario. When I got Lucario and the Lucarionite and transformed for the first time in Y I squealed like a pig. It went something like this:
My absolute favorite gens are 1, 2, 5 and 6. The XY anime series is the only series I watch and love so far. I watch it through YouTube but sometimes the episodes don't come up for days or months after their release date. It gets me really sad because I want to watch them hot off the press. Ash seems to be less of an idiot in XY...4Kids used to be in charge of dubbing PokΓ©mon for American audiences but then they decided not to renew their license and instead it was handed to PokΓ©mon Company International. I know for certain that all merchandise is by them but I'm not sure about the anime.

My favourites have to be Gen 2 and 3. I enjoy X/Y a great deal but they don't have the same nostalgic feel as those other two. My favorite Pokemon have to be Absol, Mightyena and Braixen but I have a very soft spot for Lucario. Likewise I cringed when I saw Absol had a mega, but I actually don't mind it.Β
Yes! I agree about the anime. I grew up watching it so was very familiar with the episode structure. I love the XY series! They really mixed it up. Team Rocket aren't as goofy and actually do vaguely smarter things and everyone is overall less predictable and stupid xD The characters are way better, I think they're spending more time to develop them. I feel like it flows more too, the episodes all connect into each other whereas before they were all very separate in what happened within them.Β

There's no other Mega Evolution that I like more then Lucario because most of the Mega's are PokΓ©mon I don't care for. But I've gotten used to Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Charizard Y. There are a few things I absolutely abhor about them (like the wings on Charizard's Y's arms, the jelly-toes and the sudden shrinkage of Mewtwo Y, I like tall Mewtwo!).Β
Team Rocket is actually serious yet they're still Team Rocket in all of their silliness. That's what I like about that team. The rest of the teams in the shows are: "We gonna rule the world!"
I remember watching the original series. Ash was a noob but he was a cute noob. Then he got stupid. Now he's actually seems to be mature, kind of. I was throw in for a loop-de-loop when they revealed that Serena was Ash's childhood friend from camp. I'm just like: "WHAAA!?" And almost fell of my chair. I like how they're referencing the older series with the new ones and showing them as flash backs.

I agree with the anime <3 Is it weird that I kind of like the fact that Serena has a crush on Ash? I'm kind of intrigued to see how that will work out even if it's never directly confronted xD

Unlike loads of people I never ship Ash with anyone since I find it weird xD I don't think I'd want them to hook up but it's interesting that finally one of the many girls travelling with him gets a crush xD

I'm a light Originalshipper (RedXGreen/Blue). But since Ash is Red's anime counterpart, and technically speaking they're the same person, therefore I also Palletship (AshxGary).
I saw that and thought it was so cool. I like how realistic he seems with a actual hinged jaw instead of a long snout and separate mouth. I'd have to start calling him Pinocchio. That's the only thing I dislike about Lucario, is how his mouth isn't connected with his nose. It just looks weird to me. I draw him with a canine jaw. I was so happy during Lucario's loco moments when he'd roar, his mouth opened like a dogs would. It made me love him even more.

Yes absolutely! I also find it kinda weird how he doesn't really have a nose :l I draw him with one anyway since for anatomy's sakes it's really hard to draw an open mouth without a nose for some reason xD

He has a nose, it's just really round and odd looking. In Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, did you notice that it wiggles when Max hands him chocolate and he's sniffing it curiously?
The way they designed his mouth just looks so weird. Because when he opens his mouth he has weird looking lips.Β th04.deviantart.net/fs13/200H/β¦ Is a good example of it. See how odd it looks?

I like to imagine Lucario has a full mouth of teeth instead of just four little canines. You can see in some of my drawings where Lucario's talking or his mouth is open slightly that he has teeth along his jaw. (I use dogs as a ref which is pretty much what Lucario is based on)
But I find Lucario as perfectly imperfect!

I have a thing for realistic-like yet anatomically correct anime drawings. If anything is based on a dog it MUST have a dog muzzle. Eevee is based on foxes and felines but doesn't have a big long nose. It's's short, tiny muzzle is what makes the little furball so adorable.

Indeed xD I always find it weird when people wolf-ify them xD I get that Umbreon is supposed to be based of a Jackal, so I guess that's okay but I still find it a little weird. I've seen some pretty cool canine Sylveons though~

Every thing gets wolf-ified! Everything gets Pony-fied, everything gets anthro'd, everything gets genderbent, and everything gets inflated.
I just read up and it said that only the rings on it's body resemble Egyptian lunar markings and jewelry from statues of cats and Anubis. The rest of it resembles black cats or black foxes and hares (it's ears).
When I heard of Sylveon I'm just like: "They're adding another Eeveelution? Cool!" I was so excited to see what it looked like because they hadn't put any artwork of it up at that time and I'm just like: "Can't wait!" Sylveon is so cute though. But she'll never match up to my absolute favorite: Vaporeon.
