Wow...just wows.I watched the recent episodes of the XY anime involving Korrina's Lucario learning how to Mega evolve and I was blown away for some reason. It was such a refreshing change from the usual structures of the anime where there is a problem and despite all odds it is always resolved by the end of 20 minutes and team rocket get their arses kicked at the end. Korrina and Lucario have about a four episode spread of her learning to master mega evolution. For some reason I thought it was a great twist to see the process of it and the idea that not all Pokemon can control themselves under it. It was kinda creepy, but I loved it every time her Lucario went totally psycho!
I'd recently been using my Mega Lucario in the battle Maison a great deal so I feel that overall my love for this Pokemon has been rekindled. I adored Lucario when it first came out but it sort of fell back after a while. I was never mad on the mega, but now I really really love it. It's up there with my faves now that I have a bit more context and perspective on it. Pokemon has taken a great leap up in quality I think, in both the games, the soundtracks and the anime too. Good job Nintendo <3

And concerning the anime, did Ash's charizard become disrespectful for quite a few episodes? I'm not sure since I haven't watched it for decades, but I could've sworn.

Ash's charizard always had a bit of a big ego. It disobeyed him at first and tested him to gauge whether or not he was a worthy trainer. They eventually worked better together but after a big loss Ash left him to train in the Charicific Valley.

Those episodes of Mega Lucario was creepy I felt sorry for the guy but they were awesome episodes. The pic you drew was awesome though!

So finally watched the episode and all I have to say is Lucario has now gained my full respect. That crazy mega evolution is just awesome. They're all like NOO and im like YESSSS!! I just love the crazy psycho lucario!!!

It especially reminds me of the Lucario and mew movie (I almost wonder what would have happened if Mega Evolution was in that movie since lucario was among the first pokemon to mega evolve).

Yeah, It's one of my favorites. I've noticed that the recent episodes even feature the way Lucario can view auras. Although I am curious to how Pikachu could win against Mega Lucario in the Gym battle.

Yes me too! I had thought that, especially now that he can mega evolve! I loved how they showed Lucario within his mind trying to grasp control, it gave a cool perspective as to what it's like behind the mega evolution ^^

It really makes one think. What I also find interesting, is that the lack of control isn't so much presented in the game. When you Mega Evolve pokemon in the game, you can usually control it.

Yes, I also wondered whether it was to the same degree with Pokemon other than Lucario since a large part of him losing control was the heightened aura he was experiencing.

I agree. Diantha's Gardevour (I may have spelled that wrong) had more control and understanding of the Mega stone's powers. I believe that Mega Blaziken briefly appeared in a few of the Lumios City episodes. I don't know if all of Ash's pokemon are with Prof. Oak, but if he still has some of his past series Pokemon, he could Mega Evolve a few.

I've mostly seen the Anime episodes from The first Season, and this newer Kalos Season, so they are the seasons I know most about. I don't think I've even seen Ash's Septile in an episode yet (or of any of his League battles). I have been trying to watch the entire series from the start though.

I'm not sure which my favourite is/was. A lot of them I saw a long time ago so can't remember much of them. I remember I liked Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, the one with Zoroark in and Pokemon Heroes ^^

I know what you mean. The first season was the season my brother and I would watch as much as we could as kids, and I don't remember most of it. So when try to catch up on Youtube (I don't have Netflix), I'll go "Oh, I remember that," in my head. It is fun to watch some of my old Pokemon VHS tapes after so many years.

I think I even have some cards from around the time the Anime first began, but finding them and organizing them is a challenge that I have yet to complete. And I think I have the very first episodes on VHS. too, and each tape used to come with two episodes at a time.
