I can feel your pain, as the same thing happened to me today. I was looking at anti-SpongeBob stuff on a website (because I hate that show with a passion) and there were banner ads for the movie's DVD release!

To be fair, every website that is free to use pretty much relies on advertisements to make moneys, and moneys keep the websites alive. If I were you, I would just ignore the ad.
