Well, TV.com has their best of 2013 list up again, and guess which one takes the top spot?Keep in mind, though, this is only in its first days and already the bronies have fled here like sheep within flock to continue worshiping their deity.
Even with the new season, you should keep in mind that Season 3 and EQG also sort of took place this year, which many conclude to be their slump in quality. If we're grading this on how each show fared in terms of quality this year, Adventure Time should take the top spot.

Well, to be fair, most of the other shows on the list are pretty good in their own right, and it's easy to see how one would have a hard time choosing which one, so it's not surprising that it gets that little votes

MLP is actually a really good show. It doesn't get truly great until season 2, and personally season 4 is it's best season because of it's off-the-wall concepts, and plus my top 2 favorite MLP episodes are from season 4. Sure, it had plenty of duds, but it's still really good. Personally the episode I recommend is Hurricane Fluttershy. It's an episode from season 2, and it's my 3rd favorite. Another recommendation is Sonic Rainboom, which has similar themes as the former; although a few more flaws.
But of course, you probably don't care.

I've tried watching it and it was the same stupid Barney shit I've seen before. Disgusting and putrid.

At least it doesn't teach that all strangers are friends... And it teaches really good morals... There's also relatable characters; unlike that OTHER show known as Barney... Goddamn that dinosaur is creepy... Still gives me the creeps...
Oh, and do you want to see truly terrible MLP? Try G3, or My Little Pony Tales (G2). Those were much worse in a different way; PANDERING. But G3 is a lot worse IMO.
G1 and G4 (Friendship is Magic) were good though.
On a side note; have you heard of The Mysterious Mr Enter? He reviews good and bad cartoons. He's currently dealing with some FOX copyright bullshit right now; but he does reviews. He's recently been getting a lot of requests to do an atrocity review on Dora the Explorer. But Barney is the one that deserves the review; honestly. Either way; I suggest you check him out. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he turns you off because he praises FiM most of the time... He dislikes only 17 out of the 91 episodes so far. Putting Your Hoof Down being the worst one for him; but to me Rainbow Falls is worse for some reason. Either way; he hates G3 and G2 MLP, I can say that. And I'm rambling...

Actually, Barney didn't teach that strangers were all friends. The episode where that was claimed to happen was a rumor, and it doesn't exist.
In fact, I looked up the term on its wikia and it turns out there were a couple of songs on how to deal with strangers.
I even found a quote from a transcript from one of its episodes about being safe.
"If a stranger ever wants you to get in the car, you should start yelling really loud, and run to find a grownup you know"
Anyways, moving on, depending on the person, Barney can have good morals, and the characters can also be relatable as well, though you wouldn't be hearing me say that seriously, but I'm just saying the possibility of someone saying that isn't impossible.
I even talked to someone about this issue. Here are a couple of excerpts from her reply:
"Barney in my opinion is better then most of the shows Telivision is flashing infront of these kids now adays....Im sticking with the classics in which actually teach you things. & Barney as it says in the theme song does teach"
And before you say those seasons of MLP are terrible and are completely abysmal, I've seen Barney fans who were also bronies that hated G3 and G2 to put that in perspective.
I've never watched or listened to any Mr. Enter reviews because supposedly he's one of those people that'll just put ponyshit everywhere even when it's not even necessary to the review. The sad thing is, it's not even at the top of his so-called "Good Cartoon Ruler". That would belong to Samurai Jack, which legitimately is awesome and has every right to be used in his reviews more often than not, but why not? Because he just whores himself out with ponies to get himself subs.

Ignoring the Barney thing right now...
Admittedly; he does put pony refrences in his a reviews a bit too much; but he does like the show. To be honest the one place where the refrences seem to not be so out of place are the G3 MLP reviews. And yes; Samurai Jack is awesome.
Also; would you just let people like what they like? Seriously...
And going completely off topic; have you watched any anime? (Yes, I only asked this because let's be honest; most of the time anime tends to be so much better than most of the shitty cartoons around these days... Like the dreaded new Spongebob... Key word being; MOST. There are gems like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Regular Show, and my personal favorite; Gravity Falls.)

To be honest, I haven't really watched a lot of anime because of Todd Haberkorn; he was in a Barney video and he starred in a bunch of anime including Attack on Titan, Panty and Stocking, Kill La Kill. I even went up to him at Fan Expo Canada recently simply to tell him that I hope he regrets being on Barney and that his family resents him for doing that.
But yeah, not too long ago I watched Death Note for the first time, and I also watched Squid Girl recently.
And I would let people like what they like if they didn't carry such a superiority complex over it. They'll try so hard to claim that Barney is "quality entertainment" when it's really not, and when I was with special ed kids that watched it for 2 hours straight, every day, that just made me think they thought they were superior to everyone else because of how much they watched it.

Ah, I do see what you mean. To be honest for me the downside for most fandoms (Take the Sonic fandom for example) literally is the percentage of fans who go fucking insane over it or think it's the only good thing in life.
I'm actually planning on watching Death Note tomorrow. I heard the first season is good and the second season goes way downhill; and there's a director's cut for the ending that makes everything way better and it leaves plenty of opportunity for fanfiction.

And this does look familiar before, Angry Birds was one of the most popular games of 2010 - 2012, in this year, the Flocks all killed each other due to them blaming each other for their actions, the same thing will happen to the Bronies and MLP next year.
