Left to right: houses 2, 3, and 4. Each image has the corresponding story, labelled below c:I hope these backgrounds count! I've kinda butchered it not with these BGs uvu
House 2:
Encouraged by their haul of treats (and a cute set of bat wings) from the first house that they had visited, the pair both moved on with great enthusiasm to the second. Mia had decided just to do them in chronological order, to keep things simpler and give them a fighting chance of making it all the way around all of the houses and the two parks. The scavenger hunt (although it was more of a 'ring doorbell and be presented with goodies') was getting everyone's spirits high, and there were pairs of dogs and their people frantically moving around to try and collect the most tricks or treats. When Mia had heard about it, via the website, she was determined to take Briggs down there to get him used to a stressful situation and all the sounds and sights and smells - although she'd never imagined that it would be this fun for her, too. She had a competitive streak about a mile wide, and reveled in anything vaguely like a competition - she was determined to do the best that she could, and perhaps receive a reward for it. When she had looked at the prizes for the top scavenger pairs on the website, Mia had been amazed. The one prize that caught her eye, though, out of all of them, was the Wiltshire Spaniel direct import. Of course, she already had Briggs, but she had come to believe that one could never have enough Wilties. If Briggs was anything to go by, they were honest and kind and genuine dogs in the way that the fox is sly and cunning and deceitful. Looking up from the map, she noticed that Briggs had led her to the door of house number two. He sat, and bowed his head, and tucked his paws beneath him as I reached out to ring the doorbell. His tongue lolled out, but he quickly checked it and went back to looking irresistible. Taking a breath to steel herself, Mia pressed the doorbell and, sure enough, heard the sound reverberate around the hall area of the house. A moment passed, and another, and Mia's hand dropped to her side, almost ready to give up (for the rules stated that you could only right the doorbell once). She was just about to abandon their chances in the house as she heard the turning of a key in the lock. Briggs' ears pricked up as we waited for our fate to be decided by the person on the other side of the door.

House 3:
Bounding down the path, his loping stride eating up the ground before him, Briggs' ears streamed out behind him like ribbons in the wind. Mia had never seen him so animated before now, and he clearly was enjoying the little treats he got from the good people of Neighborhoodshire. Despite enjoying the treats, he would not look twice at the person who offered them, refusing to eat them out of anyone's hand but Mia's, and avoiding the people's attempts to pet and stroke him. Mia was starting to be able to work out what was behind this confusing dog's facade - he was extremely unwilling to let people into his close circle of care and trust, Mia assumed due to past heartbreak from another person. She had tried to gather some information about his past, but none at the Wiltshire Spaniel website knew anything about his past, except that he'd been born as an oddball, a mutation, in a litter with two non-saddle and non-carrier parents. At that time, saddle had not been an UKC accepted colour in Wilties, so Mia assumed that he had simply been passed around working and non-showing kennels too many times for it to be worthwhile for him to keep making bonds with those who worked with him. Hopefully, if that was the case, it would mean that, with time, he would settle down, and learn that he wasn't going to be sent away, and perhaps then he would open up to her. Even having lived with and trained him for a week and a half she could only just get away with brief physical contact, like a single pat or a brief stroke of a leg or a tail. He would not usually eat treats from her hands, either, but it seemed the he recognised her as the thing he knew in this strange, Halloween - themed village and was willing to make exceptions. As they approached the third house on their list (which had actually been right next door to the second, so their journey hadn't taken long) Briggs broke from his lope to a trot, then to a walk, and finally stopped and waited for Mia to catch up before we moved closer to the house. As she rang the doorbell, she ticked this house off on their scavenger map, before waiting to see what surprises lurked inside.

House 4:
Again, Briggs had taken off at a lope once he'd received his treat, although he did not seem to know where he was going at all, so had skidded to a halt at the edge of the pavement, as he had been taught, and sat, to wait for Mia to catch up. Whoever had trained him had trained him well - he was unquestioningly obedient and it seemed that these safety drills were second nature to him. When she caught up, she stroked the length of his ear to let him know that he had done the correct thing, and praised him with a brief, but enthusiastic 'Good boy!'. They were slightly behind schedule, but Mia wasn't worried in the least, she was sure that they'd soon catch up to their target. Once they'd crossed the quiet road, Briggs trotted ahead, sniffing along the pavement and inspecting the bushes and plants along the fence line. Mia would definitely have to enroll him into some mind of tracking scheme, to get him some credit for his nose work with a title or something to show his natural affinity for the sport. He occasionally stopped to make his mark on the world with a brief urination, but was moving on again the moment he had finished, even with one leg still off of the ground. He carried on like this for a while, moving ahead, then lagging behind, and occasionally staying at heel, until Mia spotted the fourth house on their list, the path this time lined with pumpkins displaying different expressions. As she stopped, she didn't even have to call him to her, he just appeared next to her liked that was where he belonged. As they moved along the path together, he cautiously sniffed at the pumpkins, and the candles within them, although he seemed perplexed by them and soon gave up in search of something he understood more, like the stray candies here and there along the path. Soon, they were at the base of the steps, and Mia was about to go and ring the doorbell, when she heard the muffled sound of it sounding already. Perplexed, she assumed that they must have a motion sensor system installed, however, while looking for sensors, she noticed the real culprit - a pleased - looking Briggs and a large button placed on the floor labelled 'Doggy Doorbell'.

I love how you colour Briggs; the reds and browns in his coat are lovely, and how you paint the white, especially around the neck, is adorable.
Hopefully now you've edited in backgrounds, your pictures can get rolled (I don't know if you might need more backdrop than the outline, but wait and see, I guess ) His bat wings are really cool, too - nice bit of trailing cobweb. And because this is a compilation upload, I have to say I love the little touches of cobweb in the corners and empty spaces, especially with the spiders hanging out, too. Really cool

Thank you so much! He's a bit of a challenge but I find that the end product is well worth the struggle - Nev made him jawdroppingly handsome c:
Hopefully c: I have another few on the way (though they're taking ages) as I'm aiming to get all houses and the two parks visited xD
Thanks - that was the hidden item I rolled in house 1 and thought that they were cute enough to add to his outfit!
And thanks again for all these kind words, I tried a new sort of style for these three c:

You're welcome! And that she did. Some of the more complex horse designs I have are that way, too - time consuming to draw, but they look great at the end
Same here, too - My aim is to get through the whole town and the parks. I've got to start on today's sketch (took a break to read a story and watch Criminal Minds XD). Looking forward to seeing your next ones!
These hidden items are brilliant, though. I've seen other people win the bat wings. Fingers crossed I stumble on something eventually ^^
And no problem! Its fun to experiment with new styles now and then; they're coming out really nice

Hi hun! I've posted your rolls for the stories, but the art needs a scenery BG, as stated in the guidelines. Let me know when that's been added and I'll give you your art rolls!
