Shikamni stand about 4 1/2 feet at the shoulder.

Overview: Shikamni are a magical species that are highly tied to emotion. They can feel the emotions of mortals, and each has a specific emotional affinity, which they are strengthened by, and also an emotional weakness which can make them sick. They are immortal creatures, not bound by time or realm. They age and die by mental maturity, and have the ability to fly between realms, and are able to appear in any world they wish.

Orbs: All of a shikamni's magic is held in the magical orb that hovers in their horns. This orb cannot fall out or evern be extinguished naturally. The only way to take the orb is to remove the center horn, which anchors the orb. Doing this will kill the shikamni, but the orb holds immense magical power, and is often sought after by the greedy.
Emotional Affinity: Every shikamni has empathic abilities, and can sense the emotions of all sentient creatures around them. They are born with an affinity to one particular emotion, and this strengthens them. There is also an opposite to the emotion, and if exposed to too much of the opposite, then it weakens a shikamni, even to the point of unconsciousness. Note that this affinity does not dictate the Shikamni's personality, or emotions. It simply shows which emotion strengthens them when OTHERS feel it. Shikamni can feel the emotions of other shikamni, but it does not affect them like this. Only the emotions of mortals strengthens or weakens them. Magic is tied to the emotional affinity. When a shikamni feels the emotion with their affinity themselves, then they will often emit that emotion onto others, which can influence how a group might feel. (such as a large ammount of peace, or happiness to calm crowds, or anger to incite riots.)
Magic: Shikamni are beings of magic, and have strong magical abilities. Every shikamni can create magical wings and tail to fly with, as well as a human form to disguise. Other abilities include blinding light, purify water, and sleep. Based on the emotional affinity, A shikamni can also magically heal, or magically afflict. They can project a magical voice, and this is how they communicate to mortals. Their strongest ability is the ability to run/fly through realms. It is difficult, but possible for a shikamni to go to different worlds and realms with their magic. This is extremely difficult and can only be done once every hundred years. They will be very weak just following the jump.
