In this one the skin tones look a bit bluer than the other one, don't they? It's a nice effect, I think.

It's more skin-toned overall--the other one looked like they were lit with some kind of red light, and was a bit darker. This one, the light's more.... neutral, I guess. They still share some of the background hue, but it isn't as dramatic.

You can (lol, contrariness), but keep the lighting and whatnot in mind as well. The skin was redder in the other one, but so were all the other colours in the image. It didn't look out of place, is what I'm saying.
