Description This type of foot soldier could be seen in many wars across 15th and 16th century Europe, a lightly armored infantryman wielding a large halberd or 10 - 20 foot long spear known as a pike. The war scythe is more of an improvised halberd and would more likely be carried by peasants or citizens during a revolt.

Some reference used for the sword and cuirass, loosely based off of 17th century English Infantry. Heavily inspired by 'Mount and Blade' artwork.
Done in around 15 hours, MyPaint and GIMP

Constructive criticism welcome.

A wonderful piece of art, but the weapon he holds is not a Halberd, it is a so called War Scythe.

Fantastic.
From a distance I suspected that M&B(WF&S?) would be involved in the inspiration.

Yep, F&S is my favorite of the series. Thanks.
