Brainstorming: I'm thinking this child is some kind of vampire- or parasite. She doesn't feed in the traditional way, although she can eat you alive. I think the way she feeds is through her sense of touch. There are thousands of tiny suction cups on her hands that are able to extract your blood. If you see this child, run!
