It looks like a nature bridge which I've seen in Malta. Where are this cliffs?

Γ‰tretat in France [link] They're few places which looks like this, also in Cornwall in UK.

Thanks for the description with link. Oh, I passed some northern parts of France on the way to Brittany.
In Malta is a part called Dingli cliffs and a blue grotto which inspired me to compare it with your picture [link]

Ty for sharing the link of cliffs in Malta. It must also be an amazing place. May I ask where you've been in Brittany? Actually Γ‰tretat is in Normandy.

I see, Γ‰tretat is near Le Havre. But Brittany is not far, beginning with Mont Saint Michel.
My last destiny was the peninsula quiberon in the south of Britanny.

It is a big distance to Slovenia with at least one full day on highways. If you have time there are lots of cultural highlights on the way.

I know. I should drive to the Tours on the first day. First time I need 2 days to Cancale because I want to see cathedral in Amiens, Rouen, Etretat, Honfleur... We also need 2 days to get home because we visit VitrΓ© and castles in Loire valley.

Austria, Italy and Slovenia are nearer than Brittany for me and there are also much cultural locations beginning in Maribor.

That should be a public park and not a golf course!!!!

XanaduPhotography In reply to TomKilbane [2012-09-27 17:46:10 +0000 UTC]

I am glad you've noticed. When I visit awesome natural spots I am always angry to see what people do to get attention of turists. Actually the golf club was founded in 1908, and I guess the landlords at the time were not interested to give land away for public parks. I must admit that I rather see golf place on such beautiful place than shopping center or hotel.

this is beautiful (Is it possible to correct the horizon line just a tad?)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

XanaduPhotography In reply to WayneBenedet [2010-09-21 16:44:09 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for the comment. Now, when you've mention this I also see that the horizon line isn't perfect. I must find that copy, because at the time I didn't pay so much attention on my submitions

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WayneBenedet In reply to XanaduPhotography [2010-09-21 19:27:35 +0000 UTC]

keeping the horizon line straight is hard. I find that most people have a slight slope to one side of the other,it seems to be very common. Mine is down on the right and I have to watch it all the time, and I have been shooting for lots of years.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

XanaduPhotography In reply to WayneBenedet [2010-09-21 19:39:38 +0000 UTC]

I aware of this fact, but I should pay more attention in postproduction. Somethimes I am so thrilled by sceme, that I forget a lot of rules. Perhaps you've noticed that I made a correction, but now I am not pleased, with missing part of the rock on left side. So I must try something else, perhaps different crop.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WayneBenedet In reply to XanaduPhotography [2010-09-21 20:30:31 +0000 UTC]

personally, I think it looks really good now.

Photography as I see it, is not an exercise in perfection, rather it is the challenging process of deciding what you will sacrifice in order to gain something else. This holds true for working on a scene (while taking the picture, cropping composure, exposure etc), as well a processing but you know what I mean. So in my mind.... the picture is great.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

XanaduPhotography In reply to WayneBenedet [2010-09-21 21:25:17 +0000 UTC]

Thank you I just realized that you've missed my first correction. In mean time I did another crop and I am also pleased with this one. But I am not objective, because I was there and I always see my pictures as combination of picture and feelings.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WayneBenedet In reply to XanaduPhotography [2010-09-22 02:50:00 +0000 UTC]

I understand what you mean, sometimes the "feeling" component can be very strong. I think it is good to capture them. I had another look at the pictures, and I can see how challenging it would be to take. So many angles. But I really like the sail boats because they give an idea of perspective that otherwise would be lost. With them there, you get a sense of how HUGE this scene is.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

XanaduPhotography In reply to WayneBenedet [2010-09-22 18:55:57 +0000 UTC]

Those sail boats were there in the right moment and I've used this opportunity. First I was focused on people, small like ants

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WayneBenedet In reply to XanaduPhotography [2010-09-22 20:21:39 +0000 UTC]

it is always good to have some perspective. Sometimes it is not possible of course. Capturing the "right moment" can sometimes be difficult but certainly it has worked well here.

Thank you for your advices and comments It would be a real pleasure for me if you would be so kind and take some time to comment my newer works (if something catch your eye). I would like to hear an opinion if they're better or just different or even not good. When I took this picture I was a proudly owner of a new camera for one week and with very limited knowledge how to use it
