Description
A car themed deviation to commemorate my first car accident.Some kid who just got his license was trying to weave around me while I was backing up. I got a little dent and some scratches on the very corner of my bumper, his headlight and rearview mirror went flying and he can't open any of his doors on that side anymore
I actually wasn't even sure I'd hit him until I went out to check, because my truck is so beastly his sedan couldn't even move it a noticeable amount.
I took a whole ton of pictures (What? I'm a photographer I'm allowed). They're here if you're curious [link] I was the white truck.

Never heard of commemorating a car accident, but if it inspired you to take this shot great! possibly the best outcome of an car accident.
I love this image because of its mix of rusty / flaky bodywork, its a great clear image. I think the framing of light and the overall competition is spot on. I think it would make a great subject for HDR....
I think a tiny point is the sky, it would be great if you had a dark moody sky, really adding to the image, with cool reflection in the lamp at the front.

I'm very glad you appreciate the texture of the bus, as it was something I very much wanted to capture, and it was the thing that captured my eye and drew me to the subject.
However, in drawing me in, it drew me through a yard and over a fence onto someone else's property. (This is not uncommon for my photography
I agree with you wholeheartedly on the sky, the tone of the photo would very much be aided by brooding and tempestuous sky, but that doesn't happen often in southern California in June
Perhaps I'll return to the spot again when winter rolls around, the vehicle's been there for years, I don't think it'll go anywhere between now and then
