Here's Icky's parents! Hades and Athena. Their story is one similar to most Show dog parents, Athena was purchased by Hades' owner to bring her to their kennel for new blood. She's from a wonderful line of Am Staffs and the breeder thought a good litter would come from the pair, which it did. Icarus was from their first litter, they went on to have one more after that, because the pups from the first litter were such stunning specimens of the breed. Icarus was nearly kept by the breeder, but a good friend of the breeder fell in love with him and he was sold on a limited show contract, he wasn't to be bred but could compete.

Whiles Hades and Athena never did love one another like some parents, they did grow fond of one another and rather close friends. And they parented well. Many of their pups have titles in shows and various sport competitions and those sold as pets made loving companions to the families that bought them. Given Icarus' owners friendship with his breeder, Icarus does get to see his parents from time to time, though they're now a little gray around the face.
