Julian's mum and dad Quite hairy!

I imagined the sire [black & white bicolor] to be an irish water spaniel mix (perhaps with labrador and gordon setter influences?) and mom [liver tri roan] to be an english cocker mix (combo of show and workings lines with some brittany or other misc spaniels). Their owners were avid hunters and indiscriminately bred their stock together to create superior multipurpose gundogs with a focus on flushing and retrieving. Out popped Julian who then became a misfit and ran away to join the stray faction at the west end of the city.
