That is some great sketch. The idea is well. I like it how unconstrained your drawing style is. But on the same time it is detailed and you have create a great composition with an intressting atmosphere. This picture tells a story :]

The fox stood there pondering what the strange, new creature he saw was. It didn’t have fur like his, and it stood up only on two paws. The creature didn’t have a scent to it, nor did it look it was alive. It looked smooth as a running river reflecting the subtle light from the sun, but cold to the touch…was it a predator? It stood there…never moving…never responding…was it waiting to pounce upon him and eat him? The fox felt scared, yet, something compelled him to stay. He thought this new creature was as lonely as him…maybe it wanted friendship? He thought he could befriend this new creature, and in return, neither will have to be lonely anymore. But he didn’t know what to say, so he stood there silently staring at the strange, rust spotted creature….and waited for the courage to speak up to it.
Something I came up with in a few minutes when looking at this speed sketch.

Mmm, you're very good at speed drawing. I like the idea of it overall, and I really like how you can do those shading effects with leaves and wood so quickly.
