i use clip studio paint and i used a brush (thats only available with a full paid version) that is supposed to look like tree shade. im sure theres other brushes for other programs, or some way to emulate it (im thinking finding a leaf brush, erasing spots or making white spots, and then on the edges using the leaf brush to make it look like open spaces between the leaves) but i basically filled in the whole layer the color of shade i wanted, set it to multiply, and then used the tree shade brush colored white to make the spots that werent shaded. i changed the opacity, and then blurred it a bit so it wasnt so solid. i.gyazo.com/33ffea8d51119e436e⦠theres it without multiply on and at 100% opacity
