I'm TRYING to find a nice babyish base so that I can add a figure to be Bat'zu and make this my contest picture, even though you can't fully see Shand's spider limbs. It was so much FUN though. We got the base ages ago at bunnystick.com, which has some of the best bases I've ever seen, and is the only reason I dabble with pixels lately instead of sticking with traditional media.Rar. Stuff.

With a really small pencil tool. ^_^; Most 'dedicated' pixelists do it pixel by pixel. c_C I cheat. I use a brush to get larger areas.

Damn, how the hell ya get their hair to look so good? I've seen and tried working with that body base before but it's just too realistic for me to be able to do much with. The only "pixel clothes" I've ever been able to make looked a bit too toony (kinda cell shaded...kinda) and it didn't mesh in well with so detailed a base. D'oh!
This rocks though...the hair is just fantastic and so is Orin's robe. I need to find (or make) me a good Szordrin base one of these days and turn it into one of those doll things, hehe.
As for the Ba'tzu doll...hehe, I seriously doubt you'll ever be able to find something like that. I don't think people are very into "pixel babies" hehe... Although maybe something like a tweaked cherub (sp?) base would work...that might be a good place to start. *Will look around.*

Ack, gorgeous! And a little spooky about the timing.. o_O I happen to be working on a portrait with an extremely similar pose to the bottom guy, have an old sketch from a magazine clipping. I took at look at Bunnystick's page, and she has a lot of work from magazines and model cds. She does a fantastic job at pixel rendering, though! wow, I'd never have the patience for pixels. And this is great!
