I present to you the 2 reasons every time I host Fiend War I try to have a carry in each party instead of just yolo accepting everyone and gogogo. While I’m not planning to participate in the DFO fanart contest, I do want to kill 2 birds with this post. When the sun/moon theme of the contest was announced only these two popped up in my head so here they are

Light Euclid: Cosmofiend of light and a sister to Axion (not related by blood). Capable of moving at the speed of light, her enemies fall before even realizing that they're attacked.

Dark Axion: Cosmofiend of darkness and a brother to Euclid (not related by blood). His body consists completely of dark matter which doesn't have a proper form, so he wishes to 'be in shape'.

Cosmofiends: A race that hungers for power and whose only purpose is finding strong ones across dimensions and destroying them. They appear wherever strong ones can be found, and they first landed on Arad when Ozma tempered with dimensional rifts after being sealed away. They have attempted multiple small scale invasions on Arad (commonly known as hell mode from pre 100 cap era) but they have all failed, and eventually began a massive attack on it known as the Fiend War. Some of the epic gear that can be found in the game were supposedly used by the cosmofiends or are made from dead cosmofiends. They are also commonly referred to as 'demons' or 'fiends', but they're unrelated to other demons such as imposters and those from the Plane: Chaos (where the Chaos class of knights is from). It was also mistakenly known that Cain the apostle is a cosmofiend, but this is false.

Fiend War: For a while Arad has been under attack from the cosmofiends, but these have always been in small scale (usually in the form of hell mode in game). As time passed more and more cosmofiends began to learn about Arad and they began to be upset about the fact that mere humans have been defeating them. With Rosen leading them, powerful cosmofiends gathered to launch a massive attack on Arad. The war ended with the adventurers successfully stopping Rosen and the rest of the cosmofiends from coming across the gate. As it could cause fear and confusion amongst people if it was known that interdimensional beings are trying to attack Arad, it was agreed by the leaders of nations of Arad to keep this event a secret and pretend it never happened.
