Edit: Mom was framing some drawings so while I had them in hand I thought I'd have a little bonding time with my new scanner...so the image was newly scanned.This was a captivating photo I found in Roslend's gallery. The lighting, the dust, the angle the pose, everything draws you into it. So I had to draw it! I think the black background helps enhance the lighting on the horse.
As for the title...hehe...This really was practice for me, to see if I could draw dust...but it looks like the horse is working and practicing her moves as well...

this is a beautiful drawing!!!! this horse isnt exactly in a pose tho.. its doing a spin...for reining.....just to hope you kno that..im a reining fanatic as well as having a reining trainer....beautiful drawing!!! i cant ever seem to draw dust..like with a sliding stop...it usualy turns out lookin like a rock...great job!!!!

It definitely made for a great drawing. The dust looks great and the contrast with that dark bg brings it all out. I can tell you enjoyed this one - those kind of 'must-draw' photos give you a real buzz when you're drawing them. The shapes are all great too. Nice one!
