I really love unicorns and sphinxes so I thought "why not combine them" hehe
As a piece of optional extra lore, I thought it would be cute if they had a bit of that unicorn mystic symbolism or whatever associated to them in the form of like... certain traits? I like to imagine members of this mixed species sort of as mentors to people who feel like they lack courage or mindfulness toward self or something else, and as mentors and/or companions they help people discover the whatever strength they seek. I feel like it nicely ties together the strength symbolism of lions and the kind of nurturing idea many in turn have of unicorns.
