Thankyou for the fav before I start... Well thats an interesting question, to be honest I have absolutely no idea... I would doubt it highly, because the place name is also compton, but i've never even heard of that effect before I just googled it, it would be nice if it was named after something as scientific as that but I think it might just be a coincidence!
