This is another trade I'm doing with he's a very talented artist on here. Awesome sketches he has in his gallery ^_^He asked me to pick ANY of his characters in his gallery and draw them, so I picked Che. She interested me the most, because I've never really drawn an anthropomorphic character before. And in her description, she's a model, so I felt this pose fit her pretty well. Plus, I've always wanted to draw a pose like this. The upper body is so interesting haha. (How can I NOT make that sound bad XD)

Now this one, it's what I would consider to be bordering on erotica - maybe it is - for me, there is a BIG difference between erotica and porn, okay? You managed to get a feline chest blended superbly well with human anatomy, fades effortlessly from lower cat rib cage to a woman's breasts. Awesome!

Ya know... that's an awesome analogy to that picture. I love in-depth comments like that! That really make me go back and look at the sketch and see it like a different perspective.
And yeah, I agree.. this is pretty erotic lol. It seems as if I do more cute stuff than realism, though. That's why I felt compelled to draw her like this

There's a dumb if accurate joke that says if a man is looking at a picture of a naked woman (or man), it's porn, and if a woman is looking, it's erotica. But generally for us here, porn may be showing almost anything sexual, from a woman in a bikini to a bunch of people in bed, but has no concern for artisitic or aesthetic qualities - thnik of the "close-ups" that are a regular feature in men's porn magazines; they would be better off in a medical encyclopedia! But for us erotica is far different. Does the picture show full figure(s) of the people involved? Are the skin tones accurate and not overly saturated (like ya see in PlayGirl or Penthouse)? Are the backgrounds pleasing and realistic - a tastefully done room or outdoor setting? For all of its hype, Penthouse fails miserably much of the time bekuz the photos often are delibreately blurred, the background is usually a bedroom that Donald Trump couldn't afford, the people (if it is a feature of a man and woman, or two women) are posed in ways that a trained gymnast would shy away from - stuff like that. Another distinction between porn and erotica are the expressions on people's faces. Nothing is worse than the fake "OMFG!" look in much porn.
For a long time now we've been hunting for a site where we can post erotic drawings and our hundreds of photo-manipulations but have had little success in that. There is one, www dot hentai foundry dot com (not sure of the URL) where one could post hentai drawings, but not photos or manipulations. Until then, there is DA, but their restrictions have gotten stronger as time goes by.

I do agree, there is a very fine line between erotica and porn. It could be the mere ANGLE of the picture that defines the photo. And to me, that is just crazy. Ya know, if there were a picture on here that looked similar to porn, but the artist urged it was art.. I'd say the comment and background of the artist would have to shine at that point. But it's a very tough situation.
LOL and yeah I agree.. the whole "OMG I SO WANT YOU AND I'M NOT FAKING IT" look is so lame, I hate that.

I'm not big on censorship. It exists to keep "nice old ladies" from having a stroke. On the other hand, if there is a photo or drawing/painting of two people being intimate, the REAL challenge is to make it an obvious work of art. Something where your aesthetic sense ould go WOW! and then you'd notice, hey, those two people are

I am still trying to operate my durn scanner...do you know how or are they all entirely different? I know how to scan it is just that I cannot get what I am scanning on my computer. Kinda sucks.

Maybe push the power off and unplug the USB cord. Works for me. I actually turn the scanner on after I plug the USB cord into the computer, seems to work better.
