Description

The day was turning to dusk as the black blue she wolf moved through the twists and turns of trees. From her mouth hung a piece of flesh and bone, heavily she dragged the weight and placed it down before admiring her surroundings. Blight enjoyed the piece and quiet that she got when lying close to the small river that poured through Howahkan's territory. As she lowered into a lay she pulled the marrow between her feet, propping it up so it was closer to mouth range. Her teeth collided with the soft tender flesh that still clung to the bone, her mouth working around it like a pro - attempting to get all she could from the remaining meat. Being one of now three Atolat's she was hard to come by food of her own, usually opting to feed the pack before herself but now she needed to regain her own energy. Her mouth licked over the loose meat and attempted to yank it from the bone. Her teeth clicked against the white surface as it turned from deep red to pink to a near yellow white. Her eyes closed as she enjoyed the tastes of her leftover meal. Overhead she heard a noise, flapping and fluttering before rest. Blight shifted as she felt eyes fall onto her. She flickered her jade eyes up as she heard a bird caw overhead, an albino crow looming over her as she ate.
Blight paused. Her mouth unhinging from the bone for the first time since she had started her chew. She shifted so her body was half turned onto its side and she could look at the crow better. It's white feathers and glistening red-pink eyes watching her as it cocked its head and let out another more assertive caw.
The black wolf took a deep breath, her mind flickering to all the talk of the albino animals of this world meaning good fortune. Her jade eyes flickered back down to the remaining bone and meat before she stood up and let the bone fall to the soft mossy ground. Her tail flickered behind her as she glanced back up toward the bird. In war Howahkan would need all the fortune they could get.
"Here." She said as she pushed the bone forward and toward the tree which he bird perched in. Her paw slipped off of the slick part of the bone as she took a few steps back. She watched the bird as it eyed her, eyed the meat, eyed her. Caw.
"You're welcome. You probably need it more than me anyway." She said, merely guessing that the caw was some sort of thank you before the bird swooped down to land on the bone that was left for it. Blight admired it's white feathers for a moment longer before backing up and turning to leave the clearing she had took refuge in - leaving the bird to its meal.
