I made this doll for a Christmas present for someone who is a huge Craig fan. I wanted to give him something with Craig on it, but there was no Craig merchandise anywhere to be found.. and he had mentioned before that he'd really like a Craig plushie.. so I made one.

I made him out of things I already had laying around the apartment..
His head, body, and hands, were made out of an old hand towel. That's the only piece of fabric I had that was a beige color.
His hat and jacket were made from a blue t-shirt I had.
His little pants were made out of a navy blue fleece blanket that I never used..
The white part of the eyes came from an old white t-shirt, the buttons on his jacket came from a polo I no longer wore.. and the collar of the jacket, the black part of the eyes, and the mouth, all came from a black sock. The yellow puffball on his hat is the only thing I had to buy to make him.

I didn't have a pattern or anything.. I just winged it. I made a pattern on paper, traced it onto the fabric.. and then cut out the pieces of fabric and glued (with fabric glue) / sewed them together (by hand). No sewing machine was used.. this was all done by hand.
You may notice that there are some glue marks and pen marks on parts of the doll or his clothes.. but I think he turned out fairly well, aside from that.
This doll was truly a labor of love.. and I probably wouldn't have made it if I didn't love the person as much as I did. I don't know if I could have done as good a job of the doll, or even made a doll like this at all, if it wasn't for how I felt.
It was my desire to see a smile on his face, that motivated me and gave me the determination to make this doll as perfect as I possibly could.
