Description
When the year started, I said I was gonna make a pokemon comic. But all I made was a cover page. Six months later, I came back to it with a new plan of attack. Instead of working on panel after panel in a single comic page, I would draw out scenes of the story. This should make a good replacement for the comic. I don't think I have the attention span to draw all those little panels at the same time anyway.

Pokemon Eclipse: Part 1

It was a dark night in the forest of the Karnos region. Many nocturnal pokemon were out and about throughout the dense forest. All except for a strange building that was hidden away in a valley. The sign near the place read "Aether Foundation Genetics". Many workers dressed in white were waiting outside the loading and unloading concourse, armed with stun rods and pokemon on their guard. They all stood there and watched as large metal create with small rectangular gaps was brought to them on a conveyor belt. They all seemed on edge.

"Okay! Loading team! Get the first one into the truck. ASAP!" The one in charge shouted to them as four machamps walked to the sides of the crate and reached for the carrying handles. Then something inside roared at them, startling them all before they could grab hold. "Hey! Come on! Get it loaded!" The four pokemon then continued to do their job, lifting the crate off the ground and carefully taking it to the back of a semi truck. Inside the large crate, something big and nasty was looking at them all through the small gaps in the metal. Glaring at the people and pokemon that were standing guard in case something happened. When it was finally loaded on and secure, the one in charge then shouted, "Okay! Team 2. Bring in the other one." A much smaller crate similar to the big one then came out on the conveyor belt. It was just big enough for two of the Aether grunts to lift up by themselves.

"Hey Carful!" Shouted one of the grunts hauling the small crate. "You're gonna drop it!"

The other grunt just scowled at him and said, "I'm not gonna drop it you wimpod!"

"I am not a wimpod!" The two kept on arguing with each other, unaware that one of their hands was losing their grip on the metal box. Suddenly, whatever was inside the box started to violently shake the thing from the inside, causing both of them to let go! When it hit the ground, the electronic panel keeping the box tightly shut broke and fell to pieces. When the door to the box opened up, something immediately rushed out! "GET THAT THING BEFORE IT ESCAPES!!!" The grunts and their pokemon tried to catch the thing, but it kept evading them. Then it let out a powerful Thunder Shock attack before running off into the forest bushes. "Dang it! WE GOT A RUN-AWAY!!"

The whole complex started blaring out alarms! Magnemites and Magnetons equipped with searchlights were hovering all over the nearby trees, and mightyena packs were released and searching for a scent to follow. "Find that thing before it gets away! I don't want to tell Dr. Harris that we lost one of her experiments!" said a woman in a lab coat and glasses who was in charge of overseeing their operation. She clutched her ipad as more and more search teams went out in search of their mysterious escapee.

But, far away from all the search parties, the strange pokemon that had made a run for it came out of the bushes and looked at the building. Watching from the shadows as they franticly tried to find it near their own base. It stood their for a while and blinked before going deeper into the forest, away from its captors. But with each passing step that it took in the woods, it grew scared of what lurked around it. Wild pokemon in the trees watched it from above with creepy glowing eyes while ones on the ground retreated inside hallow trees and just growled at it, wanting it to go away. So, the poor thing ventured onward through the forest.

The strange pokemon suddenly caught the sent of something delicious. Following the scent, the pokemon found a lone berry bush that was plentiful with oran berries. It rejoiced as it started to eat berry after berry. But it wasn't the only one who wanted them. From up in the trees, an ariados slowly came down to the ground from a single strand of silk and hissed at the poor thing. The other pokemon stopped its meal and just stared at the spider-like creature, which was demanding it move away from the berries. When the unknown pokemon refused, the ariados fired a barrage of Poison Sting quills from its mouth that digged into the other pokemon's skin. The other responded by letting out its Thunder Shock! Poisoned, the poor pokemon started to run away before the spider could recover from its paralysis. As it kept running, it could slowly feel its body getting heavier and heavier from the poison weakening it.

Taking refuge inside a tree, the pokemon started to pull out as many quills as it could. It cried out in pain as each one was pulled out. Licking its wounds, the pokemon then saw lights off in the distance. Curious, it walked toward the source of the lights with every ouch of strength it could gather, hoping to find someplace better than the forest.
