Ever since assuming the mantle of Empress of the Holy Criro Empire after her predecessor Hive Kellto was impeached for failing to crush the Kiro's rebellion during the Criro civil war, Hive Vi'ra has set out to do what so many before her have failed, the unification of the Cr'kos species under a single hive. With that goal in mind, a massive millitary build up was initiated and with it, the order to develop and build Dreadnought sized vessels.

The latest warship to come out of Criro's Dreadnought program is the Babel class which are the largest warships ever built by the Criro Empire short of their Battle-moon mobile fortresses. Clocking in over eight kilometers in length, the ship's primary weapon is a modified GO-C93 anti orbital planetary defense cannon. The weapon is a Cykro lance with a secondary smaller rift generator positioned in the discharge gap of the main generator. Due to its small size and lack of a discharge gap the smaller generator is unable to create a sustained spatial rift and must be stabilized by the larger rift.

When used, the Singularity Cykro lance acts similar to a regular Cykro lance, creating a spatial rift in the form of a beam to drain energy from enemy ships. However what is special about this one is that it is also capable of accelerating the rift created by the smaller generator at a target, which upon impact collapses and creates a sustained reaction that drains massive amounts of energy from anything in a large radius for a short duration of time. Although this unconventional setup grants massive amounts of firepower it also posses the risk that if the weapon is damaged, it may cause the creation of a large spatial rift which will wreak havoc on the ship's own power systems.

The Babel does not posses many secondary weapons, concentrating most of its firepower in a few heavy guns as it is mainly designed to slug it out with other large dreadnoughts such as the CDTR Helicoprion and UHC Kara'kuta .

Apart from its role as a frontline heavy hitter, the Babel is also a mobile temple with its hulls and interior covered in divine markings, as while as possessing a tactical command node connected to the Criro hivemind with authority equivalent to that of a hive queen. Due to this the Babel posses a vaste array of communications equipment including extremely powerful psychic transmitters. These can also be used offensively by overwhelming the minds of its enemies with fear and panic or frying the brains of anyone insane enough to get too close.
