Actually they're in the middle of casting Peter for the films. It's not that I don't want Miles in a film, but I'd much rather have him take on the mantle after Peter either retires, dies, or quits, in the natural progression that took place after USM Vol. 2.
But that's just me.

I think after GotG Marvel has proven they're not too shy of going a wee bit crazy with their universe. As someone who's reviewed the majority of the Spider-Gwen series, I'd be all for a Spider-Gwen film.

Well marvel already met Star Trek, JLA, Powdered Toast Man, Attack on titans, Archie, M&M, members of JLA etc. So meeting Jedi and space pirates wouldn't be so far fetched. Plus, if they did it with the Guardians thier would be plenty of jokes to bounce off each other.
