Personality: Obsidian has little to no regard for others’ safety, He does what he needs to do whether someone gets hurt or not, except in rare cases. The way others react to him rarely vary, the likes of Pearl and Peridot fear him for his destructive potential, Garnet and Jasper react very aggressively due to his carelessness. He is overconfident in his abilities, often rushing into situations that are more dangerous than he thinks. His strength and abilities sometimes blind him to the odds he is up against.

Backstory: Obsidian was grown in a Kindergarten on a volcanic planet under Gem control, and he was trouble from the very beginning. As soon as he came out, his abilities kicked in, destroying the entire site, leaving him the only surviving member of that world’s batch. He was taken to the Gem Homeworld and treated like every other Gem, until he found that he hated that way of living. On a routine mission to a Gem controlled moon colony, he decimated every stronghold using all the power he can muster, escaping in the only ship he spared.

Several thousand years later, he landed on Earth during the Gem War. He laid waste to both sides until he fought Rose Quartz, she was the first Gem to ever fight Obsidian to a standstill, and still show compassion. He then fought at her side until he and a few Crystal Gems were left, returning to space. He would return later and meet Steven, becoming friends with him.
