Being a clown seems as simple as the title itself, right? WRONG! Perle could tell you if she could speak, but being a clown is a lot of hard work. Clowns are performers who use comedy to entertain. Many work alone whilst others perform in groups. The clown herself, Perle, performs various acts, gags, and skits to entertain in a quite famous traveling circus: Imaginärer Wanderzirkus (Imaginary Traveling Circus). With herself and her troupe, their performances vary from general tomfoolery to elaborate gags involving other types of acts. Generally, its common to see them all performing fake violence and anger against one another and falling about like buffoons.

Perle herself became the star of the clown acts and a high ranked member of the circus due to many reasons. Her cute face and petite looking stature made it optimal for skits centered around her to be her avoiding being swept up in the gags and tomfoolery and catching the other clowns up during their attempts to make a fool of her. She became popular especially due to her ability to perform outside of the clown acts and use those talents within the skits. It's not necessary for a clown to be skilled in acrobatics, nor is it necessary for animals to perform with the clowns, however.. Perle used those talents learned from the other members of the circus within the skits to make them more interesting. Being able to do handstands, flips of various kinds, and include the acrobats in skits was a game changer. Including the elephants in the specials were incredible to watch. Her ability to perform comedy alone and with her coworkers made her a highly sought out act.

Outside of acts, she was always quick to entertain and cheer up lost children with her charm and general clowning abilities. A full-time jokester and part-time helper, Perle has always shined brightly in person and on the posters advertising her. She never fails to put a smile on the face of someone looking to see what she's got!

Outside of trial, she can use this skill often. However, in trial, she may only use it once due to the tense atmosphere. Sometimes, however, this perception fails.

As a people loving extrovert, Perle can't help but never see the negatives in people. For these reasons, the clown will always disregard the notion of bad for the sake of it. To add on top of this, she will not ever vote for someone who has been nice to her. Logic and reasoning do not matter to this little clown. Most people are good and people don't do bad things. Often times, Perle will completely deny that ill intent was possible. Perle will not act less than friendly toward anyone in trial and oftentimes will be trying to make people smile and ignore the fact that somebody has died and somebody has killed.

There's always something good that can come out of something bad, at least in her opinion. However, it'd be bad if this type of thinking was easily shattered, so it's just as wonderful that Perle is resilient. One or two outliers is nothing to bring her down. Even if she is knocked down, there is no way she won't get back up with a huge smile on her face. Naturally, her physical resilience is just as high, being able to endure stunts that normal people could not.
With her optimism comes a natural friendliness, of course. As a clown, she has to be friendly to guests, but as a person, she's just.. friendly! She likes getting along with others and putting a smile on their face. That isn't to say she invades their personal space however-- though she will if they're especially close-- if someone seems scared or uncomfortable with her, she will naturally and easily take a step back. She can accept two contradictory things if both people are confident in their "truths". Adding onto this, Perle is incredibly ignorant. She's generally unaware of the goings on of things outside of her worldview. She can't understand things that she won't accept as a reality. This makes Perle incredibly vulnerable, especially to those who want to use her or trick her. With her muteness, she's especially at risk as communicating if anything is wrong or if she is in need of anything is difficult to say the least.
Aside from these things, Perle can be a bit much. She's generally unable to sit still without tapping her feet or moving about and doesn't like having nothing to do. She tends to fidget and bounce around if needing to stay seated unless she is sleeping or reading, and more often than not, she will just get up and run about. Even worse, the girl is easily excited about anything. A funky object? A new book? A new FRIEND? Perle is quick to jump into action and learn more about the things that excite her and experience those things... even if those things aren't ready to experience her.

[ ✖ | Sweets ] - Living in the circus has it's ups and downs. After years of circus food, she just can't handle sweet things for long. She'll eat anything she's handed but internally will be gagging at how much her teeth are rotting.
[ ✖ | Video Games ] - Whether it's on a phone or portable console, Perle has never understood the appeal. The world is all around and especially in the circus, there are just so much more fun things to do! Why spend your time glued to a game you can play whenever you want?
[ ✖ | Rejection ] - As a clown, Perle may be used to people fearing her due to phobia, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. She loves people and making people smile, so when she's flat out denied trying, it hurts her a bit inside.. even if she doesn't show it.
[ ✖ | Violence ] - Clown comedy often involves gags featuring violence, but that violence is always fake. Real violence scares Perle, and she's very quick to try and break things up if she can. Troublemakers and vandals are high on the list of people whom Perle secretly dislikes.

[ ❆ | Animal "Training" ] - Working in a circus, there were some animals that were always around. A lion, tiger, elephant and the elephant's baby! Perle always loved the animals and liked to help the trainer when she had time. However, her version of help was more like playing with the animals... she likes animals a lot!
[ ❆ | Juggling ] - Before becoming a clown, Perle was just too small to do real work in the circus, so she stuck by her mother's side most of the time. In that time, some of the younger clowns taught her to juggle to help ease her boredom. She performed it often for lost kids.
[ ❆ | Acrobatics ] - Another division of the circus. Being a spry young girl, Perle was easy to work with and toss around like a beanbag. She has fun with it, and she learned several tricks. Back flips are fun to do and impress people.

Aside from these things, Perle can be a bit much. She's generally unable to sit still without tapping her feet or moving about and doesn't like having nothing to do. She tends to fidget and bounce around if needing to stay seated unless she is sleeping or reading, and more often than not, she will just get up and run about. Even worse, the girl is easily excited about anything. A funky object? A new book? A new FRIEND? Perle is quick to jump into action and learn more about the things that excite her and experience those things... even if those things aren't ready to experience her.

[ ✔ | Traveling ] - Coming from a traveling circus, it's no shock that Perle loves to travel. There's so many things to see and learn. New things to experience!
[ ✔ | People ] - Some people say "three is a crowd" but to Perle, three isn't nearly enough! She needs ten, no TWENTY! Crowds of people are her style and she can dig crowded places.
[ ✔ | Parties ] - Just as with people, parties are no joke to the little clown. She adores getting down to some music and having fun, even if she looks like a total goof.
[ ✔ | Affection ] - Physical touch and platonic affection are huge in Perle's books. If you're her friend, this is guaranteed. Hugs are as constant as hand holding.
[ ✔ | Pranks ] - Giving people a little jump or playing a practical joke is written in the clown rule book, if there was such a thing. Never to be taken too far, but making people surprised is indeed a bit funny.
[ ✔ | Puns ] - These are not bad jokes. Puns are the pinnacle of humor without props. Perle wishes she could make them, but hearing them makes her roar with laughter.

[ ✖ | Sweets ] - Living in the circus has it's ups and downs. After years of circus food, she just can't handle sweet things for long. She'll eat anything she's handed but internally will be gagging at how much her teeth are rotting.
[ ✖ | Video Games ] - Whether it's on a phone or portable console, Perle has never understood the appeal. The world is all around and especially in the circus, there are just so much more fun things to do! Why spend your time glued to a game you can play whenever you want?
[ ✖ | Rejection ] - As a clown, Perle may be used to people fearing her due to phobia, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. She loves people and making people smile, so when she's flat out denied trying, it hurts her a bit inside.. even if she doesn't show it.
[ ✖ | Violence ] - Clown comedy often involves gags featuring violence, but that violence is always fake. Real violence scares Perle, and she's very quick to try and break things up if she can. Troublemakers and vandals are high on the list of people whom Perle secretly dislikes.
[ ✖ | Complicated Things] - Perle cannot speak more than a couple words at a time, nor does she have the ability to write well. For this reason, complicated things are incredibly annoying because she has no way to explain anything to people without an equally complicated game of charades.
[ ✖ | Being Alone] - Aside from being generally extroverted and loving people, due to Perle's muteness, she doesn't like being without at least one person with her. Otherwise, she has no real way of communicating with others over text or call.

[ ❆ | Animal "Training" ] - Working in a circus, there were some animals that were always around. A lion, tiger, elephant and the elephant's baby! Perle always loved the animals and liked to help the trainer when she had time. However, her version of help was more like playing with the animals... she likes animals a lot!
[ ❆ | Juggling ] - Before becoming a clown, Perle was just too small to do real work in the circus, so she stuck by her mother's side most of the time. In that time, some of the younger clowns taught her to juggle to help ease her boredom. She performed it often for lost kids.
[ ❆ | Acrobatics ] - Another division of the circus. Being a spry young girl, Perle was easy to work with and toss around like a beanbag. She has fun with it, and she learned several tricks. Back flips are fun to do and impress people.
[ ❆ | Reading ] - It almost seems out of place, but Perle loves to read. Fantasy stories and other kinds of novels interest her, though she never has the time to read. Sometimes, reading is hard for her if the level is really high, but it doesn't stop her from trying.

[ ❆ | "flower"] - a fake looking, somewhat large daisy which squirts water by pushing down on a leaf which hides the trigger
[ ❆ | package of balloons] - a small plastic bag filled with multicolored, rubber balloons and plastic string to tie them off
[ ❆ | endless handkerchiefs] - a multitude of rainbow hankies tied together, making about 10 in total, used in many gags
[ ❆ | three juggling balls] - brightly colored juggling balls: red, yellow. and blue. she used to play with them before she became a full time clown
[ ❆ | rubber chicken ] - replacing the old whoopee cushion gag is a rubber chicken that screams when you squeeze it[ ❆ | vintage tape recorder] - nearly on the verge of no longer working, this tape recorder has a single tape in it that's completely filled. the voice speaking is not perle's voice. the lines of dialogue it produces are as follows:

❆ The bells on Perle's hat and shoes are due to her muteness. Like a cat, it's so that she doesn't sneak up on anyone.
❆ Her muteness doesn't make her unable to speak. She can just only speak in fragments, so she usually doesn't speak unless she has to.
❆ Perle's muteness affects her ability to write and text as well. She can and will only spam emojis in a text chat.
❆ This muteness does not usually affect her comprehension. For the most part, she can understand spoken and written language incredibly well.
❆ Perle has a gap in her two front teeth! She likes to spit water out through the gap. She finds it funny.
❆ Perle likes wearing her clown makeup and costume as often as possible. As long as its not time for sleep, nor is it not prohibited, she will be dressed to the nines in her costume.
❆ This little clown had quite the collection of rocks at one point. And buttons. And coins! If there's a little object, just like a crow, Perle will want to take it for herself.
❆ Sweets are the literal hell of Perle's past circus life. After only one year of eating circus food, sweets were off the menu. Perle would never reject food, but she gags inside anytime someone offers her something even a little bit sweet tasting.
❆ A lot of people are scared of clowns, and Perle knows this. Thus, if she realizes someone is scared of her, she will always pretend there is a wall keeping her from coming closer to them, like a mime.
