Description
Happy New Year everyone!! Hope you had an awesome 2018. Mine was filled with ups and downs. Downs usually from school and ups caus of good stuff in school and I got a lot of games and even got a Switch too! Played Mario Odyssey a lot during the holidays and it was really good! I felt I was on vacation even though I'm mostly at home doing holiday homework or drawing. Here's another drawing with more background in a while and it's inspired by Bowser's Kingdom (one of my favourite locations) from Mario Odyssey. It's not completely similar to it caus the actual one is really detailed and too much for me to paint so I did a more simplified one.
Anyways, have a great year ahead and hopefully it will be better than the last one!

I absolutely love that level, it has such amazing aesthetics. The different areas and their names are even set up in the same order as the architectural style of feudal Japanese castles - a very beautiful touch.

Ikr! I never expected the kingdom to look like that. I thought it was gonna be a stage with lots of lava at first. Then when I saw the aesthetic, it quickly became one of my favourite kingdoms.

They really went above and beyond with Odyssey. Your artwork has captured the essence of the game perfectly.

Yeah! This looks more like a capital than only just a castle.

Aw thanks!! ^_^
When I was looking for references, i noticed the kingdom was actually rather sparse so I added extra. Glad it worked out!

1. The art style of this looks really good! Good job!
2. I know this might be a bit off topic, but 2017 wasn't just the year this amazing game came out, but it was also the year that bunnies were sick of Mario's crap and decided to do something about it

Thank you!
Hahaha yup! Sometimes I wonder if the Broodals used to look like regular bunnies until their vast moon collection mutated them somehow and became more vengeful

No problem!
I actually thought they were regular bunnies until one of them found power moon flowers(like the ones Mario has to plant in the game).
Also, I am just gonna say it now, I LOVE THOSE BUNNIES! So much so that I think they're the best thing in the game! Even more so that I came up with an idea for if(rather when) they appear in Super Mario Party!

Well, the first cutscene would be before the players even get to the board. the players would be headed to the board and transition from the toy-like style of the game to the realistic style of Super Mario Odyssey.
The board itself is an expansion of rabbit ridge
Now, right before Toad could finish saying "let's roll dice to see who goes first," the Broodals' theme music would play. Toad would ask "Hey! Where's that music coming from?" The Broodals would laugh, causing the players(and Toad) to get in shock. After that, the second cutscene begins.
Don't know exactly how the dialogue would go, but the Broodals would all take turns talking about how the players weren't invited to Rabbit Ridge as well as how they weren't even invited to play along. Then smol lepre-bun would get the idea that they would shake things up on the board. He would then proceed to pull some power moons out of his hat. Then he would say this "Ya see dese? Dey gonna replace dose sharp-edged stars of ya's. Dey won' hoit anybunneh, and dey prittieh den dem stars. Dey even glow in da dark. But be carefel. We'cn always take em back!" Then they laugh again.
As for how the gameplay of the board goes, it's kinda the same. Go around the board, try to find Toadette, get more moons than the other players. The big problem is that the Broodals are involved. Behind one spot, one of the Broodals would be standing there, waiting for a player to land on the spot they're behind. When someone lands on the spot that a broodal is behind, he/she would ask for a power moon. If the player doesn't have any power moons, they ask for 10 coins. Here's where it gets a bit troubling. There are two word boxes you choose from: one that says "Fine..." and one that says "No!" If you press "Fine..." you give that broodal a power moon/10 coins and you're on your way. The broodal changes and is in a different spot and it starts again. If someone presses "No!" They cause that broodal to get mad, go into his/her hat, bash into the player, and send them flying to the start, losing all of their power moons/losing something completely random, from coins to a turn. What else is that when the 2 word buttons show up, there's a time limit on their patience, the max time being 15 seconds. When it goes to 0, the player gets the same treatment as those who press "No!"

Oh that sounds interesting! Can totally imagine that! If I were to play that board with friends, it would be fun and contain lots of salt too xD

And a thing about when their patience time goes down, you can see them slowly getting impatient

And one thing that also might cause some salt is that there's no way out of it. Once you're on a space that a broodal is behind, you either give something up or lose everything

And don't get me started on what happens at the halfway point of the gameplay. But telling by the board and the use of the Broodals, I am guessing you already know what it is XD
